General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 0,05 g of a pikamilon (N-nikotinoil of γ-aminobutyric acid of acid sodium salt) in terms of active agent.

Excipients: potato starch, sugar milk (lactose), tselyolyuloza microcrystallic, calcium stearate, primelloz, talc.

The vasodilating drug rendering also tranquilizing, psychogogic, antiagregantny and antioxidant action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Nootropic means, expands brain vessels. Improves a functional condition of a brain due to normalization of a metaboyolizm of fabrics and influence on cerebral circulation (increases the volume and lineyyony speed of a brain blood-groove, reduces resistance of brain vessels, suppresses aggregation of thrombocytes, improves microcirculation, including in a retina).

Stimulates metabolism in nervous tissue, has anti-hypoxemic activity. At course reception increases physical and intellectual effeciency, reduces a headache, improves memory; normalizes a dream promotes decrease or disappearance of feeling of alarm, tension, fear (renders tranquilizing effect without muscle relaxation, to slackness, drowsiness); improves a condition of patients with motive and speech disturbances.

Pharmacokinetics. It is quickly soaked up from digestive tract. Gets through a blood-brain barrier, it is distributed in a brain, kidneys, muscles and fatty tissue, it is long keeps in body tissues. Indications to use:

At adults: Cerebrovascular insufficiency, vegeto-vascular dystonia, an adynamy, depyoressivny frustration at advanced age. The states which are followed by the alarm, fear increased раздражительнос­тью, emotional lability (as a part of complex therapy). The asthenic states caused by various psychological diseases.

At an alcoholism - for reduction of asthenic, asthenoneurotic, post-psychotic, prerecurrent states, and also an alcoholic entsefalopayotiya. As a part of complex therapy - migraine (prevention), a craniocereberal injury, neuroinfection. Improvement of portability of exercise and intellectual stresses (to persons, находящим­ся in intense and extreme conditions of activity; for recovery of fiziyochesky efficiency of athletes, for increase in resistance to exercise and intellectual stresses).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, irrespective of meal. At cerebrovascular diseases a single dose - 0,02-0,05 2-3 times a day, a daily dose - 0,06-0,15. A course of treatment - 1-2 months. A repeated course - in 5-6 months.

Depressions of late age - 0,04-0,2 g/days in 2-3 receptions, an optimum interval - 0,06-0.12 g/days, within 1,5-3 months.

For maintenance and at the raised loadings - 0,06-0,08 g/days within 1 - 1,5 month for athletes in the same dose, during 2 weeks of the training period.

As anti-asthenic and anxiolytic medicine - on 0,04-0,08 g/days, if necessary - to 0,2-0,3 g/days, within 1-1,5 months.

Prevention of an attack of migraine - 0,05 g 3 times a day.

At alcoholism in the period of abstinence - 0,1-0.15 g/days a short course of 6-7 days; at more permanent disturbances out of abstinence - a daily dose of 0,04-0,06 during 4-5 weeks.

Primary open angle glaucoma: on 0,05 g 3 times a day - 1 month.

Frustration of an urination: to children: functional frustration of an urination of-3-10 years of 0,04 g/days, is more senior than 10 years of 0,06 g/days in 2-3 receptions; at a myelodisplasia to children up to 10 years of 0,06 g/days 11-15 years of 0,1 g/days in 3 receptions; adult - 0,15 g/days in 3 receptions, a course of 1 month.

Side effects:

Irritability, excitement, uneasiness, dizziness, headache, nausea, allergic reactions (skin rash, itch).

Interaction with other medicines:

Shortens action of barbiturates, strengthens action of narcotic analgetics.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, disease of kidneys (acute, chronic), pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age up to 3 years. It is not recommended at an acute disorder of cerebral circulation. As drug contains lactose, insufficiency of lactase, a lactose neperenoyosimost, a glucose/galactose sprue.

Overdose:

Symptoms: strengthening of expressiveness of side reactions.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:
