Validol-Darnitsa

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 tablet contains menthol solution in mentilovy ether of isovaleric acid 60 mg;

excipients: sugar crystal, calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

Validol – complex substance which is formed at dissolution of menthol in mentilovy ether of isovaleric acid. At sublingual reception effect of drug is caused by effects of menthol and ether of isovaleric acid. The first – irritating sensitive nerve terminations on a mucous membrane of an oral cavity, renders reflex vasodilating (including coronarodilator) action. The second – stimulates education and release of enkephalins, endorphines, dinorfinums and peptides which regulate feeling of pain in the central nervous system. As a result of use of drug regional blood circulation improves, expressiveness of pain decreases. Drug works soothingly.

Drug is quickly soaked up in an oral cavity and already in a few minutes reaches a concentration maximum in a system blood-groove. Effect of drug at sublingual use develops in 5 minutes. It is partially transformed in a liver. Products of transformation are allocated from an organism through intestines with bile. Drug in not changed look is emitted from an organism with urine and the air exhaled by the person.

Indications to use:

Functional cardialgias of angioneurotic character, neurocirculatory dystonia of cardial type, easy incontinuous attacks of stenocardia at coronary heart disease (as a part of a combination therapy), neurosises, hysteria, sea and aeroembolism, nausea of neurotic character.

Route of administration and doses:

The adult Validol-Darnitsa to rassasyvat under language before full dissolution 1-2 tablets. Frequency rate of reception and a daily dose of drug is defined depending on efficiency of treatment. The daily dose averages 2-4 tablets. Treatment duration – up to 7 days.

Features of use:

In cases when pain in heart does not pass after administration of drug, it is necessary to exclude an acute coronary syndrome. At use of drug as a part of a combination therapy of attacks of stenocardia in case of lack of effect the first 5 minutes it is necessary to appoint nitrates. Drug contains sugar therefore it with care is appointed to the patients suffering from a diabetes mellitus.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast.

With care, taking into account a ratio the advantage/risk, drug are used for treatment of the pregnant women and women nursing.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms.

At use in therapeutic doses drug does not influence speed of response at management of transport and other mechanisms.

Children.

Do not apply to children.

Side effects:

At long reception in isolated cases nausea, dacryagogue, dizziness, discomfort in a stomach, reactions of hypersensitivity to drug components (a Quincke's disease, a small tortoiseshell, an itch, rashes) can be observed.

Interaction with other medicines:

Nitrates – simultaneous use with nitrates reduces a headache which arises at use of the last.

Sedative drugs – simultaneous use strengthens effect of sedative drugs.

Neurotropic drugs which oppress the central nervous system – simultaneous use promotes the best backfilling and more sound sleep.

Anti-hypertensive drugs – strengthening of effect of anti-hypertensive drugs at their simultaneous use with Validolom-Darnitsa is possible.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, the expressed arterial hypotension, children's age.

Overdose:

Headache, nausea, excitement, disturbances of action of the heart, a lowering of arterial pressure, oppression of the central nervous system, reaction of hypersensitivity to drug components (a Quincke's disease, a small tortoiseshell, an itch, rashes).

Treatment. In case of overdose it is necessary to cancel drug and to carry out symptomatic therapy. Also the gastric lavage is recommended.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 2 years. To store in the place, unavailable to children, in original packaging at a temperature from 8 ºС to 15 ºС.
