Altatsid

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: the dried-up gel of aluminum of hydroxide of 333.3 mg, corresponds aluminum to hydroxide of 167.5 mg, magnesium oxide of 158.4 mg.

Excipients: Mannitolum, talc, povidone, macrogoal 4000, mint fragrance, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharin.

Description. Round chewable tablets, flat on both sides, color, white or white with a yellowish shade, with a smooth surface, with a menthol smell.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined antiacid drug. Neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in a stomach, lowers peptic activity of a gastric juice. Has also adsorbing and enveloping effect, reducing impact of disturbing factors on a mucous membrane.

Indications to use:

— acute gastritis;

— hyperacid gastritis;

— acute duodenitis;

— a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in an aggravation phase;

— symptomatic ulcers of various genesis;

— erosion of a mucous membrane of upper parts of a GIT;

— hernia of an esophageal opening of a diaphragm;

— reflux esophagitis;

— acute pancreatitis, exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis;

— hyperphosphatemia;

— pains in epigastriums and heartburn at errors in a diet, reception of medicines, the excess use of coffee, alcohol, nicotine;

— fermentative and putrefactive dyspepsia.

Route of administration and doses:

The adult drug is appointed on 1-2 tablets or on 10-15 ml (2-3 teaspoons) of suspension of 4-6 times / in 1 h after food and to night.

To children aged from 2 up to 12 years appoint a half of a dose of adults.

Tablets should be chewed carefully. Suspension is accepted with a small amount of water or milk. Before use the bottle with suspension should be shaken up.

Features of use:

It is necessary to observe a 2-hour interval between Altatsid's reception and other medicines.

At long reception of Altatsid it is necessary to provide sufficient receipt with phosphorus food.

Use in pediatrics

With care children should appoint Altatsid aged up to 12 years.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: seldom - nausea, vomiting, change of flavoring feelings, a lock.

From a metabolism: at prolonged use in high doses - a hypophosphatemia, a hypocalcemia, a hypercalcuria, osteomalacy, osteoporosis, a gipermagniyemiya, a giperalyuminiyemiya.

From an urinary system: at prolonged use in high doses - a nephrocalcinosis, a renal failure.

Others: encephalopathy; at the accompanying renal failure - thirst, decrease in the ABP, a hyporeflexia.

Interaction with other medicines:

At a concomitant use with Altatsid absorption of indometacin, salicylates, Chlorpromazinum, Phenytoinum, blockers histamine H2 receptors, beta adrenoblockers, a diflunizal, an isoniazid, antibiotics of a tetracycline row, indirect anticoagulants, barbiturates decreases and slowed down.

M-holinoblokatory, slowing down gastric emptying, strengthen and extend Altatsid's action.

Contraindications:

— chronic renal failure;

— Alzheimer's disease;

— hypophosphatemia;

— pregnancy;

— raised чувствительнось to drug components.

 

Use of drug ALTATsID at pregnancy and feeding by a breast

Purpose of drug at pregnancy is contraindicated.

In the period of a lactation (breastfeeding) Altatsid it is necessary to apply with care.

 

Use at renal failures

It is contraindicated at a chronic renal failure.

Use for children

With care children should appoint Altatsid aged up to 12 years.

To children aged from 2 up to 12 years appoint a half of a dose of adults.

Overdose:

Prolonged use of drug in high doses can lead to development of dyskinesia of intestines, a hypophosphatemia, osteomalacy, and also to development of deficit of iron in an organism since aluminum phosphate connects iron.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 30 °C. A period of validity - 2 years.
