General characteristics. Structure:

Tablets of 30 mg, No. 20

Active veshchest: Ambroxol hydrochloride of 30 mg

Other ingredients: calcium hydrophosphate, lactose, magnesium stearate, starch corn, silicon dioxide, sodium krakhmalglikolit (type A).

Syrup of 15 mg / 5 ml фл. 100 ml.

Active veshchest: Ambroxol hydrochloride of 3 mg/ml

Other ingredients: the benzoic acid, sodium metabisulphite, citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, поливидон, sorbite, glycerin, sodium cyclomate, fragrance, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Bronkhoval — mucolytic and an expectorant of group of benzylamines, increases secretion of glands of a mucous membrane of bronchial tubes, increases formation of pulmonary surfactant and stimulates tsiliarny activity owing to what department of slime and its removal (mukotsiliarny clearance) is facilitated. Activation of secretion of liquid and increase in mukotsiliarny clearance facilitate removal of slime and reduce cough. After oral administration Ambroxol is quickly and almost completely absorbed in a digestive tract. Cmax in a blood plasma is reached for 0,5–3 h. It does not kumulirutsya. Contacts blood proteins approximately for 90%. It is quickly distributed in body tissues; the greatest concentration of Ambroxol is defined in lungs. T½ from a blood plasma is 7–12 h. About 30% of Ambroxol are exposed to biotransformation at the first passing through a liver. About 90% of drug are allocated with kidneys in the form of metabolites (preferential glucuronides).

Indications to use:

Sekretolitichesky therapy at the acute and chronic bronkhopulmonalny diseases connected with disturbance of bronchial secretion and weakening of advance of slime.

Route of administration and doses:

Adults and children are more senior than 12 years: 10 ml of syrup (2 measured spoons) 3 times a day during the first 2–3 days, then to children reduce a dose to 10 ml of syrup (2 measured spoons) 2 times a day or on 1 tablet 3 times a day. To apply after food.
Children at the age of 6–12 years: 5 ml of syrup (1 measured spoon) 2–3 times a day or on ½ tablets (15 mg of Ambroxol) 2–3 times a day.
Children at the age of 2–6 years: 2,5 ml of syrup (½ measured spoons) 3 times days.
Children under 2 years: 2,5 ml of syrup (½ measured spoons) 2 times days.
Treatment duration — up to 14 days. It is necessary to consult with the doctor if in 14 days symptoms do not disappear and/or amplify, despite hydrochloride Ambroxol reception.

Features of use:

Ambroxol the hydrochloride gets through a placental barrier. As a result of clinical trials of use of drug after the 28th week of pregnancy any adverse effect on a fruit is not revealed, thus, in І the trimester of pregnancy is not recommended to apply Ambroxol a hydrochloride. In ІІ and ІІІ a pregnancy trimester drug can be used only when the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the child.
Ambroxol the hydrochloride is allocated with breast milk therefore it is not recommended for use during feeding by a breast.

Side effects:

As a rule, Bronkhoval is well had by patients.
From a GIT: heartburn, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; very seldom — hypersalivation, a lock.
From respiratory system: very seldom — increase in department of slime in a nasal cavity.
From an urinary system: very seldom — pain or difficulty at an urination.
General disturbances: skin rash, a small tortoiseshell, an itch, a Quincke's disease, anaphylactic reactions (including an acute anaphylaxis) and allergic reactions. It was extremely seldom reported about heavy skin reactions: Stephens's syndrome — Johnson and a Lyell's disease, connected using mucolytic means, such as Ambroxol. Generally they could be explained with weight of a current of a basic disease or simultaneous use of other medicine. At emergence of any side reactions it is necessary to stop immediately treatment by Ambroxol and to ask for medical care.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with Ambroxol concentration of antibiotics (amoxicillin, a tsefuroksim, erythromycin) in a bronchopulmonary secret and in a phlegm increases.

Contraindications:

Individual hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or other component of drug.

Overdose:

Still poisoning cases with the expressed symptoms at drug overdose are not registered. There are messages on emergence of short-term concern and diarrhea. Ambroxol is well transferred in a dose of 25 mg/kg of body weight to days at oral administration. According to data of preclinical trials, at considerable overdose noted hypersalivation, nausea, vomiting and arterial hypotension. Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

To store tablets at a temperature not above 25 °C; to store syrup in the place protected from light at a temperature not above 25 °C; after opening of a bottle to store syrup 12 months at a temperature not above 25 °C.
