Pektolvan of C

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: Ambroxol hydrochloride, карбоцистеин;

5 ml of syrup substance - 15 mg contains hydrochloride Ambroxol in terms of 100%, a karbotsistein in terms of 100% substance - 100 mg;

excipients: glucose monohydrate; sorbite (Е 420); propylene glycol; glycerin; Megluminum; dinatrium эдетат; citric acid, monohydrate; Natrium benzoicum (Е 211); aspartame (Е 951); fragrance food "Strawberry 653 (665)"; понсо 4R (E 124); the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pektolvan of C - combined mucolytic and the expectorant containing Ambroxol a hydrochloride and карбоцистеин.

Ambroxol strengthens release of pulmonary surfactant and stimulates tsiliarny activity. It leads to improvement of department of slime and its removal (mukotsiliarny clearance).

Activation of secretion of liquid and increase in mukotsiliarny clearance facilitate removal of slime and reduce cough.

Karbotsistein by a rupture of disulfide bridges of glycoproteins promotes depression of too viscous secret of bronchial tubes that promotes removal of a phlegm.

After reception Ambroxol is almost completely absorbed in a digestive tract, well gets into tissues of lungs. Absolute bioavailability at oral administration makes 70-80%. The maximum concentration in a blood plasma is reached approximately in 2 hours after intake. The elimination half-life makes 7-12 hours.

It is removed, mainly, with urine (to 90%). Gets through a blood-brain barrier into breast milk, does not accumulate.

At intake карбоцистеин it is quickly soaked up. The peak of concentration of active agent in a blood plasma is reached in 2 hours. Bioavailability low – less than 10% of the entered dose (owing to intensive metabolism in digestive tract and effect of the first passing through a liver). Karbotsistein is excreted almost completely in the form of inactive metabolites (inorganic sulfates, a diatsetiltsistin) with urine. Only a small amount is allocated in not changed view with a stake. Can get through a placental barrier and collect in amniotic liquid.

Indications to use:

Acute and chronic respiratory diseases which are followed by formation of the hardly separated secret:
- chronic obstructive disease of lungs;
- pneumonia;
- bronchial asthma with a heavy otkhozhdeniye of a phlegm;
- bronchoectatic disease;
- respiratory distress syndrome;
- treatment of complications after operative measures on lungs;
- at care of a tracheostoma, before and after a bronkhoskopiya.

Inflammatory diseases of a middle ear and adnexal bosoms of a nose.

Route of administration and doses:

Apply inside.

To adults and children 12 years – 10 ml (2 dosing spoons) 3 times a day are more senior. To children aged from 7 up to 12 years – on 5 ml (1 dosing spoon) 2-3 times a day, from 2 to 6 years – on 2,5 ml   (1/2 dosing spoons) 2-3 times a day, from 1 month to 2 years – on 2,5 ml (1/2 dosing spoons) 2 times a day.

Treatment duration, as a rule, should not exceed 8-10 days.

Features of use:

Pektolvan of C contains sorbite therefore patients with rare hereditary intolerance of fructose should not accept this drug.

Use during pregnancy of an ilikormleniye a breast. Not to use drug in the I trimester of pregnancy. Use in the II-III trimesters of pregnancy is possible only in that case when the estimated advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit. It is desirable to refrain from use of drug during feeding by a breast (drug is capable to get into breast milk).

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Does not influence.

Children. Drug can be appointed more senior to children than 1 month.

Side effects:

Drug is usually well transferred by patients, the general weakness, skin rash is seldom noted. At long use there can be disturbances:

from the alimentary system: the gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, in isolated cases can arise gastrointestinal bleeding;

from immune system: rash, urticaria, Quincke's disease, anaphylactic reactions; very seldom - severe damages of skin, such as Stephens-Johnson's syndrome and Lyell's disease;

others: heart consciousness, dizziness, headache.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug increases efficiency of therapy by glucocorticosteroids and antibacterial agents at inflammatory diseases of upper and lower respiratory tracts. It is not recommended to apply along with antibiotics of a tetracycline row (except for doxycycline); the interval between their use has to make not less than 2 hours. Simultaneous use with antibechic drugs (for example, codeine) is not recommended in connection with possible accumulation of a secret in respiratory tracts at oppression of a tussive reflex.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, a round ulcer of a stomach or duodenum, І a trimester of pregnancy, a spasm, a chronic glomerulonephritis in the period of an aggravation.

Overdose:

In case of exceeding of a dose nausea and vomiting can be noted.

Treatment: symptomatic and maintenance therapy.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 1 year 6 months. Not to use drug after the termination of the period of validity specified on packaging. To store in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C.
