Ibuprofen

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 5 g of an ibuprofen in 100 g of gel.

Excipients: propylene glycol, alcohol, carbomer 940, Dimexidum, trietanolamine, methylparahydroxybenzoate, essential oil of not role, essential oil of a lavender, the water purified to 100 g.

The gel for topical administration having antiinflammatory and analgeziruyushchy effect.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Ibuprofen-Verte has antiinflammatory and analgeziruyushchy effect. Suppresses products of mediators of an inflammation, at the expense of inhibition циклоксигеназ 1 and 2. Weakens a pain syndrome, including joint pains at rest and at the movement; reduces morning constraint and a swelling of joints, promotes increase in volume of movements.

Indications to use:

• Musculoskeletal system diseases: a pseudorheumatism, the psoriasis arthritis ankylosing a spondylarthritis, an osteoarthrosis of peripheral joints and a backbone: rheumatic defeats of soft tissues
• Muscular pains of a rheumatic and not rheumatic origin
• A posttraumatic inflammation of soft tissues without disturbance of integrity of integuments.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. To adults drug is applied on skin by 3-4 times a day and slightly rub. The necessary amount of drug depends on the size of a painful zone. A single dose of drug — 2-4 g (4-8 cm at completely open mouth of a tuba). Treatment duration without consultation of the doctor should not exceed 10 days.

Features of use:

Drug should be applied only on the unimpaired skin, avoiding hit on open wounds. After drawing it is not necessary to apply an occlusive bandage. It is not necessary to allow hits of drug on eyes and mucous membranes.

Side effects:

Local reactions: eczema, contact dermatitis (an itch, reddening, puffiness of the processed site of skin, a papule, a vesicle, a peeling).

System reactions: generalized skin rash, allergic reactions (small tortoiseshell, Quincke's disease, bronkhospastichesky reactions).

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinically significant interaction with other medicines is not described.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to an ibuprofen or other components of drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NPVP, "aspirinovy" asthma, pregnancy (the III trimester), children's age till 1 year, disturbance of integrity of integuments (including the infected grazes and wounds).

With care: hepatic porphyria (aggravation), digestive tract erosive cankers, heavy abnormal liver functions and kidneys, chronic heart failure, bronchial asthma, advanced age, pregnancy I-II trimester, children's age, lactation period.

Overdose:

Extremely low system absorption of active components of drug at external use makes overdose almost impossible.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 20 °C. Period of validity: 2 years. Not to apply after expiry date.

Packaging:

Gel for external use of 5%. On 20 g, 30 g, 50 g or 100 g in tubas aluminum or on 30 g banks from glass melt. To a tube or bank together with the application instruction place in a pack from a cardboard.
