General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredients: 50 mg of ascorbic acid, 50 mg of Rutinum.
Auxiliary veshchstvo: sugar; potato starch; calcium stearate; talc.
Reduces permeability and fragility of capillaries, strengthens a vascular wall, reduces its puffiness and an inflammation, has antioxidant and radio tire-tread properties, participates in oxidation-reduction processes, exchange of carbohydrates, formation of steroid hormones, an angenesis, synthesis of elements of connecting fabric.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. The combined drug. Recovers deficit of vitamin C and R. Rutin together with ascorbic acid participates in oxidation-reduction processes, has antioxidant properties, prevents oxidation and promotes deposition of ascorbic acid in fabrics. Both components strengthen a vascular wall (promote formation of intercellular substance and reduce activity of hyaluronidase), reduce permeability and fragility of capillaries.
Pharmacokinetics. Drug is well soaked up in a digestive tract, with a blood flow is carried in all bodies and fabrics; products of its exchange and excess of vitamins are brought out of an organism with bile and urine.
Indications to use:
Prevention and treatment:
— hypo - and avitaminosis of P and C;
— defeats of the capillaries connected using indirect anticoagulants and salicylates.
Complex therapy of the diseases which are followed by disturbance of permeability of vessels:
— eye retinal apoplexies;
— septic endocarditis;
— rheumatism;
— allergic diseases;
— measles;
— sapropyra;
— Werlhof's disease.
Route of administration and doses:
For the purpose of prevention by the adult and to teenagers of Askorutin® it is necessary to accept 1–2 tablets a day, to children 3 years – on 1/2–1 tablets a day are more senior. The course is defined individually.
With the medical purpose adults and teenagers accept drug on 1–2 tablets 2–3 times a day, children are more senior than 3 years – 1/2–1 tablets 2–3 times a day. The mode of dosing depends on the nature of a disease and can increase at the discretion of the doctor. Duration of a course of administration of drug – 3–4 weeks. Repeated courses of administration of drug are conducted on doctor's orders.
Features of use:
Ascorbic acid can influence results of various laboratory researches, for example, when determining content in blood of glucose, bilirubin, activity of transaminases, lactate dehydrogenases, etc.
Side effects:
Ascorutinum is transferred well, allergic reactions to drug components, dispepsichesky frustration, a headache are in rare instances possible.
Interaction with other medicines:
Ascorbic acid reduces efficiency of sulfanamide drugs and antibiotics of group of aminoglycosides, reduces therapeutic effect of heparin and indirect anticoagulants, promotes digestion of iron, increases penicillin absorption, strengthens side effect of salicylates (risk of emergence of a crystalluria). Use of oral contraceptives reduces vitamin C level in an organism.
At simultaneous use of low doses of vitamin C and B1, B2, B12 and BC vitamins mutual strengthening of therapeutic action is noted.
In need of use drug it is not necessary to appoint more than 4 weeks along with cardiac glycosides, anti-hypertensive drugs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as it can strengthen their action.
Contraindications:
— hypersensitivity.
With care: the states which are followed by hypercoagulation of blood and tendency to fibrinferments, thrombophlebitis.
Storage conditions:
To store in dry, protected from light, in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not over 30 ºС.
