CALENDULAS TINCTURE

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: A marigold flowers - 100 g Ethanol (Alcohol) of 70% enough before receiving 1000 ml of the drug Description: transparent liquid of yellowish-brown color with a specific smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Tinctura Calendulae renders antiseptic, cholagogue, spasmolytic and local antiinflammatory action.

Indications to use:

Apply outwardly as antiseptic and anti-inflammatory drug at cuts, bruises, eczemas; locally – for rinsing of a throat at inflammatory diseases of a throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis) and a mucous membrane of an oral cavity (stomatitis, an ulitis, a periodontal disease). Inside Tinctura Calendulae is applied at cholecystitis, a cholangitis.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly, locally, inside. Sites with superficial damages of integuments process (cuts) tincture by means of a tampon. At bruises and eczema apply aqueous solution of tincture (1 teaspoon on a glass of water) in the form of lotions. For rinsing of a throat and a mucous membrane of an oral cavity use 1/2 - 1 glass of aqueous solution of tincture. Inside apply till 10-20 the drops divorced in 1/4 glasses of water before food 3 times a day.

Features of use:

Content of absolute alcohol in the maximum single dose of drug makes 0,23 g, in the maximum daily dose – 0,7 g. During treatment (at intake) it is necessary to be careful during the driving of motor transport and occupation other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible (including a skin itch). At intake – heartburn, nausea, bitterness in a mouth, strengthening of abdominal pains.

Interaction with other medicines:

Now it is not studied.

Contraindications:

The increased individual sensitivity to drug components. At use inside – acute gastritis, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in the period of an aggravation, calculous cholecystitis, pregnancy, the lactation period, age up to 18 years. With care – liver diseases, alcoholism, a craniocereberal injury, brain diseases.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature from 15 to 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use after expiry date.

Packaging:

Tincture. On 40 ml in the bottles of orange glass corked by polyethylene traffic jams and the screwed covers. Each bottle together with the application instruction is placed in a pack from a cardboard.
