Calendulas tincture

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: flowers of a marigold (calendula) - 100 g.

Excipient: Alcohol (ethanol) of 70% - enough before receiving 1 l.

Pharmacological properties:

Tinctura Calendulae renders antiseptic, cholagogue, spasmolytic and local antiinflammatory action.

Indications to use:

Apply outwardly as antiseptic and anti-inflammatory drug at cuts bruises, eczemas; locally – for rinsing of a throat at inflammatory diseases of a throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitises, laryngitis) and a mucous membrane of an oral cavity (stomatitis, an ulitis, a periodontal disease).

Inside Tinctura Calendulae is applied at cholecystitis, a cholangitis. 

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly, locally, inside. Sites with superficial damages of integuments process (cuts) tincture by means of a tampon. At bruises and eczema apply aqueous solution of tincture (1 teaspoon on a glass of water) in the form of lotions. For rinsing of a throat and a mucous membrane of an oral cavity use ½ - 1 glass of aqueous solution of tincture.

Inside in 15 minutes prior to food apply 10 – 20 drops divorced in ¼ glasses of water, 3 times a day. 

Features of use:

Content of absolute alcohol in the maximum single dose of drug makes  0,23 g, in the maximum daily dose – 0,7 g.

During treatment (at intake) it is necessary to be careful during the driving of motor transport and occupation other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible (including a skin itch). At intake – heartburn, nausea, bitterness in a mouth, strengthening of abdominal pains.

Interaction with other medicines:

Now it is not studied.

Contraindications:

The increased individual sensitivity to   drug components.

At intake – acute gastritis, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in the period of an aggravation, kulkulezny cholecystitis, pregnancy, the lactation period, age up to 18 years. 

With care: liver diseases, alcoholism, craniocereberal injury, brain diseases.

Packaging:

Tincture. On 25 ml, 40 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml in the bottles from orange glass corked by traffic jams polyethylene and the covers plastic screwed either covers polymeric, or the covers screwed or caps aluminum. 

On 25 ml, 40 ml, 50 ml in bottles droppers from orange glass with a stopper dropper and the screwed cover. 

Each bottle or bottle dropper with the instruction on a medical use place in a pack from a cardboard.
