General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 4000 - 10000 mg of a macrogoal.

Excipients: saccharin sodium, Cherry fragrance.

Laxative drug.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. High-molecular macrogoals (4000) represent long linear polymers which by means of hydrogen bindings are capable to hold water molecules. At oral administration they increase the volume of the liquid which is contained in intestines.

Laxative properties of solution are explained by the volume of the not absorbed liquid which is in intestines. Medicine stimulates a peristaltics and recovers an evacuation reflex. Laxative action comes in 24-48 h after oral administration.

Pharmacokinetics. Thanks to the high molecular weight the macrogoal 4000 is not absorbed from digestive tract and is not exposed to metabolism after oral administration.

Indications to use:

The symptomatic treatment of locks at adults and children is more senior than 8 years. Before starting treatment, it is necessary to exclude the organic reason of frustration. Children should have no long treatment of a lock and should not exceed 3 months, therapy should be combined with observance of all-hygienic measures and a dietotherapy to a complete recovery of transit. At preservation of symptomatology it is necessary to look for the corresponding reason.

Route of administration and doses:

The daily dose of drug (1-2 packages) is recommended to be accepted inside in the morning in one step. Contents of each package need to be dissolved in a glass of water just before reception. The daily dose can change according to clinical effect, it can fluctuate from one package a day (especially at children) to 2 packages a day.

Duration of treatment is determined individually. At temporary locks (including connected with an operative measure or a travel) recommend short-term use of drug. Treatment duration at children should not exceed 3 months. Improvement of a passage on intestines under the influence of the carried-out treatment should be supported by all-hygienic measures and a dietotherapy.

Features of use:

Prolonged use of Forzhekt for treatment of locks without appointment of the doctor is not recommended. Drug treatment of locks is only addition to the following all-hygienic measures and a dietotherapy: use of the food rich with a cellulose, and large amount of liquid, physical activity and recovery of a regular reflex of defecation.

In case the lock is followed by an abdominal pain, temperature increase or gastric bleeding, it is necessary to consult immediately at the therapist. If gastrointestinal impassability or bleeding is suspected, the corresponding examination for an exception of this diagnosis or a symptom has to be conducted.

Форжект does not contain sugar, it can be appointed a sick diabetes mellitus, and also to persons whose of diet the galactose is excluded.

Use at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation. There are no sufficient data on Forzhekt's use during pregnancy. Therefore, it is necessary to apply with care Forzhekt during pregnancy.

There are no data on allocation of a macrogoal 4000 in breast milk. In view of weak absorption of a macrogoal 4000, Forzhekt's appointment in the period of a lactation (breastfeeding) is possible.

Influence on ability to drive the car and potentially dangerous mechanisms. Forzhekt's use does not exert impact on ability to drive the car and potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Side effects:

Frequency of side effects: very often (> 1/10); often (> 1/100, <1/10); infrequently (> 1/1000, <1/100); seldom (> 1/10000, <1/1000), it is very rare (<1/10000).

Adults. From the alimentary system: often – abdominal distention and/or abdominal pains, diarrhea, nausea, infrequently - vomiting, urgent desires to defecation and an incontience a calla

Allergic reactions: very seldom - urticaria, skin rash, a skin itch, a face edema, a Quincke's edema, an acute anaphylaxis.

Children. From the alimentary system: often - abdominal pains, diarrhea, infrequently - abdominal distention, vomiting and nausea.

Overdoses of drug can cause diarrhea which usually passes at decrease in a dosage or the temporary termination of treatment.

Interaction with other medicines:

Delay of absorption of the medicines accepted along with Forzhekt is possible. Therefore it is recommended to appoint Forzhekt at least 2 hours later after reception of other drugs.

Contraindications:

- the expressed inflammatory disease of intestines (nonspecific ulcer colitis, a disease Krone, etc.), toxic megacolon in combination with a symptomatic stenosis;
- perforation of intestines or risk of perforation;
- intestinal impassability or suspicion on intestinal impassability;
- pain abdominal syndrome of an unspecified etiology;
- hypersensitivity to a macrogoal (polyethyleneglycol) or to any of auxiliary components.

Overdose:

Symptoms: the overdose can cause diarrhea, dehydration.

Treatment: temporary termination of treatment by drug or reduction of a dosage, correction of electrolytic balance.

Storage conditions:
