D-Forzhekt

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients of 64 mg of a macrogoal 4000, 5,7 mg of sodium of sulfate of anhydrous, 1,68 mg of Natrii hydrocarbonas, 1,46 mg of sodium of chloride, 0,75 mg of potassium of chloride.

Excipients: saccharin sodium.

Purgative in a combination with salts.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Medicine represents macrogoal mix 4000 (high-molecular polymers) and electrolytes. The macrogoal 4000 represents linear polymer which by means of hydrogen bindings holds water molecules. Water liquefies and increases intestines contents volume, promoting its accelerated evacuation (by frequent defecations). The electrolytes which are a part of drug interfere with disturbance of water and electrolytic balance in an organism.

Indications to use:

Clarification of a large intestine when training the patient to:

- to endoscopic or X-ray inspection of a large intestine;

- to the operative measures demanding lack of contents in a large intestine.

Route of administration and doses:

The drug D-Forzhekt can be used only at adults and teenagers 15 years are more senior. Drug is intended for intake.

Solution is prepared just before use. Contents of one bag should be dissolved in 1 l of water, gradually pouring powder and evenly stirring it. Solution should be accepted in the dosage equal to 1 l on 15-20 kg of body weight that approximately corresponds to 3-4 liters of solution. The necessary dose of drug is accepted parts on 1 glass within 15 minutes separate drinks, on 1 liter of solution in 1 hour. Use of drug can be carried out according to two schemes: in one or two receptions. One-stage preparation: solution is accepted once (4 l in the evening, on the eve of the research or operation).

Two-stage preparation: 2-3 liters of solution accept the night before, and the dose rest – in the morning; administration of drug should be finished in 3 - 4 hours prior to holding a procedure.

The attending physician according to a clinical condition of the patient and potential risk of development of complications can recommend the mode of administration of drug.

Patients should not eat firm food for 2–3 h before administration of drug and before completion of a research.

Features of use:

Elderly people with various associated diseases are recommended to use drug under observation of medical personnel.

D-Forzhekt contains polyethyleneglycol. Very seldom allergic reaction (rash, urticaria, hypostasis) caused by polyethyleneglycol can be observed. There is information of rather extremely exceptional cases of an acute anaphylaxis. This drug is not recommended to be accepted to patients with hypersensitivity to polyethyleneglycol.

Electrolytic disturbances at administration of drug are not expected thanks to its isotonic structure, however such risk exists. Drug should be used with care to the patients having tendency to development of water and electrolytic disturbances (for example, at patients with a renal failure, with heart failure or at the accompanying reception of diuretics).

Drug has to be used with care and under medical observation at patients with tendency to aspiration (at the patients confined to the bed with neurologic or motive disturbances) because of risk of development of aspiration pneumonia. In such cases administration of drug is carried out in a sitting position of the patient or by means of the nasal probe. Patients with a heart and renal failure have a risk of development of an acute fluid lungs owing to an overload sodium.

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding. There are no sufficient data for impact assessment of a macrogoal 4000 on a fruit malformation at use of drug for pregnant women now. Taking into account weak absorption of a macrogoal 4000, D-Forzhekt it can be applied during pregnancy, in case of need.

There are no data on allocation of a macrogoal 4000 in breast milk. In view of weak absorption of a macrogoal 4000, D-Forzhekt can be accepted during feeding by a breast.

Influence on ability to drive the car and potentially dangerous mechanisms. It is not established.

Side effects:

At the beginning of administration of drug attacks of nausea and vomiting which disappear at further use are sometimes noted. Abdominal distention is also possible. Skin allergic reactions in the form of rash, urticaria and hypostases are very seldom noted, in isolated cases development of an acute anaphylaxis is possible. If any of the side effects specified in the instruction are aggravated, or you noticed any other side effects which are not specified in the instruction, report about it to the doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

The diarrhea caused by use of the drug D-Forzhekt can lead to disturbance of absorption of other at the same time accepted drugs. Your attending physician has to be informed on all medicine which you take.

Contraindications:

- hypersensitivity to a macrogoal or other components of drug;

- serious condition of the patient, for example dehydration or heavy heart failure;

- existence of a malignant tumor or other disease of a large intestine which is followed by extensive damage of a mucous membrane of intestines;

- full or partial intestinal obstruction;

- children's age up to 15 years (due to the lack of data on a clinical use);

- perforation or risk of development of perforation of digestive tract.

Overdose:

There are no data. The risk of development of a symptom of cancellation is not established.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
