KAPRONAT PREGNENOLDIONE

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 ml contains pregnenoldione of a kapronat 125 mg;

excipients: benzyl benzoate, olive oil.

Main physical and chemical properties: transparent oily liquid from light yellow till golden-yellow color.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmakodikamika. Pregnenoldione капронат represents a synthetic analog of hormone of a yellow body. Also, as well as progesterone, causes transition of a mucous membrane of a uterus from a phase of the proliferation caused by follicular hormone  in a secretory phase, and after fertilization promotes its transition to a state necessary for development of an oospore; reduces excitability and contractility of muscles of a uterus and pipes. After a one-time injection action remains from 7 to 14 days.

Pharmacokinetics. It was not studied.

Indications to use:

The usual or menacing abortion, primary and secondary amenorrhea, polymenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleedings (for normalization of a menstrual cycle), uterus cancer, a breast cancer.

Route of administration and doses:

Enter intramusculary.

At the usual or menacing abortion – 125-250 mg once a week during the first half of pregnancy.

At primary or secondary amenorrhea – directly after oestrogenic therapy of 250 mg once or in two steps.

At a polymenorrhea – 65-125 mg approximately for 20-22 day of a cycle.

Features of use:

With care apply at patients with cardiovascular diseases, abnormal liver functions and kidneys, a diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, migraine, a depression.

Side effects:

From endocrine system: increase in body weight, pain and tension in mammary glands, irregular uterine bleedings; seldom at prolonged use – decrease in a libido.

From TsNS: headache, depression.

From cardiovascular system: increase in the ABP.

From the alimentary system: abnormal liver function, jaundice, nausea, vomiting.

From a metabolism: hypostases.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with barbiturates effect of pregnenoldione decreases.

Contraindications:

Second half of pregnancy. Hypersensitivity to drug components, tachycardia, holitsestichesky jaundice during pregnancy (in the anamnesis), cirrhosis, a high-quality hyperbilirubinemia, a liver failure, other new growths of generative organs and mammary glands, tendency to a thrombogenesis.

Overdose:

It was not studied.

Storage conditions:

Store in the dry, protected from light place. A period of validity – 5 years.
