Maksgripp

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: paracetamol of 1000 mg, Phenylephrinum hydrochloride of 10 mg and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) of 40 mg: excipients: sugar, citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sodium cyclomate, saccharin sodium, colloid oxide of silicon anhydrous, lemon fragrance and natural curcumine (E 100).

Pharmacological properties:

Coldrex Maksgripp with taste of a lemon — the combined drug. Paracetamol has anesthetic and febrifugal effect. Drug contains its maximum single dose allowed for nonprescription use. Fenilefrina a hydrochloride — a vasoconstrictor, removes a nose congestion (narrows vessels mucous a nose and okolonosovy bosoms) and breath is facilitated. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) fills the increased need for  vitamin C at catarrhal diseases and flu, especially at initial stages of a disease.

Active agents Coldrex Maksgripp with taste of a lemon do not cause drowsiness.

Indications to use:

Coldrex Maksgripp with taste of a lemon provides elimination of symptoms of cold and flu: the increased temperature, a headache, a fever, a joint pain and muscles, a nose congestion, pain in bosoms of a nose and in a throat.

Route of administration and doses:

Place contents of one bag in a mug and fill with hot water. Stir before dissolution. Add cold water if it is necessary, and sugar to taste.

Adults: on one bag each 4–6 hours. Do not accept more than 4 bags within 24 hours. Do not accept drug more often than in 4 hours.

 Do not give drug to children up to 18 years, except for doctor's instructions.

 More than 5 days without consultation with the doctor are not recommended to use drug. If symptoms remain, see a doctor.

 Do not exceed the specified dose. In case of exceeding of the recommended dose immediately ask for medical care even if you feel well as there is a risk of the delayed serious injury of a liver.

Specific antidote at poisoning with paracetamol is Acetylcysteinum.

Features of use:

Before reception Coldrex Maksgripp with taste of a lemon consult at the doctor:

• If you accept Metoclopramidum, домперидон (the nausea applied to elimination and vomiting) or холестирамин, used for decrease in level of cholesterol in blood
• If you accept drugs for decrease in coagulability of blood (for example, warfarin)
• If you adhere to a diet with the lowered content of sodium — each bag contains 0,12 g of sodium

In order to avoid toxic damage of a liver paracetamol should not be combined with reception of alcoholic beverages, and also to accept to the persons who are chronically taking alcohol.

Side effects:

Paracetamol seldom causes side effects. Allergic reactions are sometimes possible: skin rash, small tortoiseshell, Quincke's disease. Seldom — disturbances of a picture of blood (thrombocytopenia, a leukopenia, an agranulocytosis). At prolonged use with exceeding of the recommended dose hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic action can be observed.

The risk of development of a hepatotoxic action increases at a concomitant use of barbiturates, dipheninum, carbamazepine, rifampicin, a zidovudine and other inductors of microsomal enzymes of a liver.

Phenylephrinum can make sick, a headache, slight increase of blood pressure and is extremely rare heartbeat. These effects pass with drug phase-out.

Interaction with other medicines:

Strengthens effects of MAO inhibitors, sedative drugs, ethanol.

Antidepressants, protivoparkinsonichesky means, antipsychotic means, fenotiazinovy derivatives increase risk of development of an ischuria, dryness in a mouth, locks.

Glucocorticosteroids increase risk of development of glaucoma.

Paracetamol reduces efficiency of diuretic drugs.

Tricyclic antidepressants strengthen symptomatic action, co-administration of a halothane increases risk of development of ventricular arrhythmia. Reduces hypotensive action of a guanetidin who , in turn, increases alpha адреностимулирующую activity of Phenylephrinum.

Contraindications:

Drug it is not necessary to accept along with others paracetamol - the containing means, and also together with other drugs for relief of symptoms of catarrhal diseases, flu or elimination of a congestion of a nose. Do not give drug to children up to 18 years.

 Do not accept Coldrex Maksgripp with taste of a lemon:

• At hypersensitivity to paracetamol, a feniefrina to a hydrochloride, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) or to any other ingredient which is listed above
• If you are pregnant or feed the child with breast milk
• If you have a serious illness of a liver or kidneys
• If you have diseases of system of blood
• At the increased function of a thyroid gland (thyrotoxicosis), a diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension or a heart disease
• If you have a prostate adenoma
• If you have a closed-angle glaucoma
• Drug should not be accepted along with tricyclic antidepressants, betta-adrenoblockers, MAO inhibitors and during the period up to 14 days after their cancellation
• At the diseases connected with an inherited disorder of absorption of sugar — each bag contains 4 g of sugar
• At genetic absence dehydrogenase glyukozo-6-phosphate

Overdose:

Drug should be used only in the recommended doses.

The overdose is caused, as a rule, by paracetamol. Are possible: pallor of integuments, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, гепатонекроз; increase in activity "hepatic" трансминаз, increase in a prothrombin time. At the overdose phenomena urgently see a doctor. Treatment: a gastric lavage with the subsequent purpose of absorbent carbon; symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity - 3 years. Do not use after the period of validity specified on packaging.
