Indications to use: Short-sightedness (Myopia). Diabetic retinopathy. Azotemic retinitis. Retina dystrophy. Cataract. Syndrome of visual exhaustion (Asthenopia). Retina amotio.


General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 177 mg of extract of bilberry dry standardized (in terms of antotsianidina - 44,25 mg), 6 mg of Luteinum, 1,2 mg of zeaxanthin.

Excipients: the lecithin purified beeswax, sunflower oil.

Structure of a cover of the capsule: gelatin, глицерол, titanium dioxide, the water purified, methylparahydroxybenzoate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, dyes - diamond blue (E133), ferrous oxide black (E172), carmoisin (E122).

The drug possessing antiinflammatory and antioxidant action, improving exchange in light-sensitive elements of a retina, microcirculation and rheological properties of blood and also is the antioxidant relating to carotinoids.




Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The drug improving a functional condition of a retina. Pharmacological activity of drug is caused by complex action of its components: dry extract of bilberry, Luteinum and zeaxanthin.

The main components of dry extract of bilberry are the antotsianidina relating to bioflavonoids, possessing the antiinflammatory and antioxidant action, improving exchange in light-sensitive elements of a retina, microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, and also Luteinum and zeaxanthin which are antioxidants relating to carotinoids.

Dry extract of bilberry contains 11 antotsianin which consist of the main 5 aglikonov-antotsianidin: delphidin, петунидин, пеонидин, мальвидин, cyanidine. Antotsianidina have the antioxidant, anticarcinogen, antiinflammatory, desensibilizing properties, suppress putrefactive processes in intestines, stimulate reparative processes, possess the healing, antiedematous, sosudoukreplyayushchy action, interfere with formation of blood clots, slow down development of a diabetic retinopathy and well influence a retina of eyes at a diabetes mellitus, suppress pathological mechanisms of formation of a cataract, promote reduction of short-sightedness.

Antotsianidina regenerations of a light-sensitive pigment of a retina - rhodopsin promote; improve an eye retina trophicity, stimulate its microcirculation; recover fabric mechanisms of protection of a retina; strengthen a collagenic matrix of connecting fabric; stimulate synthesis of a glikozaminoglikan - a component of connecting fabric at the expense of what do retina capillaries by stronger; stabilize phospholipids of cellular membranes; inhibit the peroxide oxidation of lipids caused by free radicals. Thus, sensitivity of a retina to various levels of light radiation improves and visual acuity at low illumination amplifies.

Antotsianidina – the strongest vegetable polyphenolic antioxidants, free radicals effectively neutralize, interrupting negative pathogenetic bonds in development about 100 diseases, including processes of free radical oxidation of tissues of retina of an eye and a crystalline lens. Owing to the expressed antioxidant effect of an antotsianidina block peroxide oxidation of lipids which is one of glaucoma pathogeny links. Reduce synthesis and emission in a blood channel of a histamine, proteases, prostaglandins and leukotrienes that prevents emergence of inflammatory reactions in an organism.

Luteinum and zeaxanthin possess the antioxidant, picturizing, absorbing action.

Luteinum – the main carotinoid of a human eye, selectively accumulates in eye fabric and together with zeaxanthin and some metabolites is the only carotinoid found in a crystalline lens and a retina of a human eye.

Luteinum and zeaxanthin increase functionality of the main svetovosprinimayushchy cells – photoreceptors which provide and support all functions of an eye – visual acuity, color perception, fields of vision and color adaptation; interfere with lipofuscin accumulation - the main substance which is formed under the influence of adverse factors of the environment. Collecting over the years, lipofuscin causes decrease in sight and leads to development of diseases of eyes.

Luteinum and zeaxanthin provide protection of photoreceptor cells against the oxygen radicals induced by light. Photooxidation leads to start of peroxide oxidation of lipids which products are highly toxic for a retina. The blue part of a range of daylight causing photochemical injuries of a retina and a pigmental epithelium has the most destroying and aggressive effect. Luteinum and zeaxanthin which are a part and retinas and a crystalline lens shield blue light from the central area of a retina where the light flux is most focused. Besides, they are capable to occlude blue light and to suppress education of free oxygen radicals, to prevent light destruction of polyunsaturated fatty acids in a retina. Luteinum and zeaxanthin are the antioxidants of the first order protecting a retina and a crystalline lens from action of free radicals.

Joint presence at drug Luteinum - and antotsianidinsoderzhashchy components promotes reduction of risk of emergence of the age macular degeneration (AMD) of a retina and interferes with progressing of this disease. Now efficiency of drugs of Luteinum and antotsianozid in treatment of VMD is proved. Purpose of these drugs at initial manifestations of VMD or an age maculopathia promotes positive dynamics of visual functions, improvement of a hemodynamics of an eye, long stabilization of dystrophic process of macular area.

 

Pharmacokinetics. Effect of the drug Bilberry with Luteinum is cumulative action of its components therefore carrying out kinetic observations is not possible; everything together components cannot be tracked by means of markers or bioresearches.


Indications to use:

As a part of complex treatment:
- myopias;
- diabetic retinopathy;
- azotemic retinitis;
- disturbances of mechanisms of adaptation of sight to darkness both at night, and at twilight sight;
- dystrophic diseases of a retina;
- age macular degeneration of a retina;
- cataracts;
- occlusions of vessels of a retina;
- visual asthenopia;
- states after an operative measure (FRK, retina amotio, etc.).

Prevention of deterioration in sight at the raised visual loading, for reduction of signs of visual exhaustion, during the work connected with influence of bright light (welding, spotlights).


Route of administration and doses:

Inside. The adult appoint on 1 capsule 2-3 times a day after food within a month, then on 1 capsule within the next two months once a day. The recommended reception course 2-3 times a year.


Features of use:

Does not influence a possibility of driving of the car, work with the equipment.

Adequate and strictly controlled clinical trials of safety and efficiency of use of drug at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation (breastfeeding) it was not carried out.


Side effects:

Allergic reactions to medicine components are possible.


Interaction with other medicines:

It is not described.


Contraindications:

Contraindications to use is hypersensitivity to drug components.


Overdose:

About cases of overdose of drug it was not reported. Treatment: at accidental overdose reception of absorbent carbon, a gastric lavage is shown; if necessary carry out symptomatic therapy.


Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the unavailable to children, protected from moisture and light place at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. A period of validity - 2 years.
