Sodium chloride of 0,9%

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 9 g of sodium of chloride.

Excipients: water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Isotonic solution of sodium of chloride fills shortage of sodium at various morbid conditions of an organism and temporarily increases the volume of the liquid circulating in vessels.

Indications to use:

Plazmoizotonichesky substitution of liquid, gipokhloremichesky alkalosis, hyponatremia with dehydration, intoxications; for dissolution and cultivation of medicines, moistening of a dressing material.

Route of administration and doses:

Isotonic solution of sodium of chloride is entered intravenously (usually kapelno), subcutaneously, rektalno or locally (for washing of wounds, eyes, a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity), for moistening of a dressing material.

0,9% chloride sodium solution: before introduction solution is heated to 36-38 °C. The dose is defined depending on loss by an organism of liquid, sodium and chlorine and averages 1 l/days (liter in days). At big losses of liquid and the expressed intoxication introduction to 3 l/days is possible. Rate of administering - 540 ml/h; if necessary rate of administering is increased.

To children at the expressed lowering of arterial pressure against the background of dehydration (before determination of laboratory parameters) enter 20-30 ml/kg. Further the mode of dosing is adjusted depending on laboratory indicators. At long introduction of high doses of 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride it is necessary to carry out control of electrolytes in plasma and urine.

Before introduction to warm up to body temperature. An average dose of 1000 ml a day as intravenous long drop infusion at rate of administering up to 180 thaws/min. At big losses of liquid and at intoxications (toxic dyspepsia, cholera) introduction to 3000 ml a day is possible. It is desirable to carry out long introduction of high doses of isotonic solution of sodium of chloride under control of laboratory researches.

Perhaps also introduction subcutaneously, intramusculary, rektalno. It is applied also outwardly. Isotonic solution of sodium of chloride does not render irritant action on fabrics, and it is applied to washing of wounds, eyes, a mucous membrane of a nose, moistening of a dressing material

Side effects:

Introduction of large volumes of isotonic solution of sodium of chloride can lead to chloride acidosis and an overhydratation, and also to increase in losses of potassium (hypopotassemia).

The prevention - ions of sodium needs to be dosed attentively in case of heart failure, arterial hypertension, a renal failure, a fluid lungs and peripheral hypostases, toxicosis of pregnant women.

Performing infusion is impossible if solution is opaque or the cover is damaged.

Contraindications:

Acidosis, hypernatremia, the blood circulation disturbances menacing with wet brain and lungs at treatment by high doses of glucocorticosteroids. Large volumes of solution should be applied with care at patients with an impaired renal function

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry place at a temperature not above +25 °C. In the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after the expiry date specified on packaging.

Solution for infusions. 200, 400 ml in bottles glass for blood, infusional and transfusion drugs with a capacity of 250, 450 ml respectively, corked by rubber bungs and pressed out by aluminum caps. 28 bottles with a capacity of 250 ml or 15 bottles with a capacity of 450 ml place in boxes from corrugated fibreboard with an investment of application instructions.
