General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: sodium chloride; 100 ml of solution contain sodium of chloride 0,9 g;
ionic structure on 1 l of drug: Na + - 154 mmol, Cl ¯ - 154 mmol;
excipients: water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. 0,9% normalize solution of sodium of chloride vodno - salt balance and fills shortage of liquid in a human body which develops at dehydration or through accumulation of extracellular liquid in the centers of extensive burns and injuries, at abdominal organs operations, peritonitis.
 
0,9% solution of sodium of chloride improve perfusion of fabrics, increases efficiency of hemotransfusionic actions at massive blood losses and severe forms of shock.
 
Renders also disintoxication effect as a result of short-term increase in volume of liquid, decrease in concentration of toxic products in blood, activation of a diuresis.
 
Pharmacokinetics. It is quickly brought out of vascular system. Drug contains in a vascular bed short time then passes into intersticial and intracellular sectors. In 1 hour in vessels there is only about a half of the entered solution. Very quickly salts and liquid begin to be removed by kidneys, raising a diuresis.

Indications to use:

Toxic dyspepsia, pernicious vomiting, cholera, poisoning, acute blood losses, shock, during the postoperative period, etc., various zaboleniye of eyes, a nose, mucous membranes of washing of wounds.

Route of administration and doses:

Appoint intravenously, rektalno and outwardly.
Enter intravenously kapelno up to 3 l and more solution in days with a speed of 4 - 10 ml/kg/h, depending on a clinical situation and level of loss of liquid; apply orally; appoint 75 - 100 ml in enemas; apply to washing of wounds, eyes, mucous membranes.

Features of use:

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Drug can be used according to indications.

 
Children. To children at shock dehydration (without definition of laboratory indicators) enter 20 - 30 ml/kg. Further the mode of dosing is adjusted depending on laboratory indicators. The general daily dose depends from vodno - electrolytic balance, etc.
 
Features of use.

At long introduction, especially in large volumes, control the level of electrolytes in plasma and urine, and also a diuresis.
 
Carefully enter the patient with disturbance of secretory function of kidneys, dekompensirovanny heart diseases, at edematous - ascitic a syndrome at patients with cirrhosis.
 
Co-administration with corticosteroids or corticotropin demands constant control of level of electrolytes of blood.

At depressed cases and losses of blood along with use of solution of 0,9% of sodium of chloride it is possible to carry out hemotransfusions, plasma transfusion and plasma substitutes.
Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms. Does not influence.

Side effects:

It is not observed at the correct use of medicine. When performing massive infusions development of chloride acidosis is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug is compatible to the majority of medicines therefore it is applied to dissolution of various medicines - except for those drugs which are not compatible from sodium chloride as solvent.

Contraindications:

Overhydratation, hyperchloremia, hypernatremia, chloride acidosis, the states connected with danger of edematization of lungs.
Drug is not used for washing of eyes at ophthalmologic operations.

Overdose:

Danger of chloride acidosis, increase in removal of potassium from an organism, overhydratation and hypervolemia owing to what heart failure can develop. At emergence of symptoms of the specified states administration of drug should be stopped, to estimate a condition of the patient and to give adequate help.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 3 years. To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
