General characteristics. Structure:
One bag of the powder Gidrovit® for preparation of solution for intake [for children] contains:
Active ingredients: Sodium chloride - 0,470 g, potassium chloride - 0,300 g, Dextrosums hydrate - 3,560 g, sodium hydrocitrate - 0,530 g;
Excipients: Silicon dioxide colloid - 0,009 g. The general theoretical weight - 4,869 g.

Active a veshchestva:natriya chloride - 0,470 g, potassium chloride - 0,300 g, Dextrosums hydrate - 3,560 g, sodium hydrocitrate - 0,530 g;
Excipients: Silicon dioxide colloid - 0,009 g, aspartame - 0,06 g, strawberry Evoglass fragrance (H&R 301 231) - 0,07 g, dry spray from roots of beet (H&R 120 126) - 0,08 g, malic acid - 0,05 g.
The general theoretical weight - 5,129 g.
Description: Гидровит® [for children]: powder of white or almost white color. Гидровит® [for children strawberry]: powder of light-red color with a strawberry smell.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. Means for intake replacing losses of liquid and electrolytes and contributing to normalization of metabolism and elimination of acidosis. Гидровит® is polyelectrolytic drug for a peroral regidratation. Contains electrolytes which lack is often noted at ponosa at children (Na+, K+, Cl, NSOZ ~). Timely use of drug can prevent emergence of electrolytic frustration and acidosis, especially at dyspepsia at babies. The glucose which is a part of drug is the energy source providing basic needs of an organism.
Pharmacokinetics. After oral administration glucose is exposed to metabolism to CO2 and H2O, and other components are removed mainly with urine and only in insignificant quantity with then or a stake.
Indications to use:
For intake for a regidratation and electrolytic substitution (compensation of loss of salt and liquid) at diarrheas and prevention of the water and electrolytic disturbances arising owing to intensive sweating (exercise stresses, a hyperthermia).
Route of administration and doses:
Drug is accepted inside.
Solution for intake has to be prepared just before the use.
Dissolve contents of one bag from Гидровитом®ó 200 ml of drinking or svezhekipyacheny chilled water or tea and at once drink solution.
If the child does not drink the offered portion for once, then the prepared solution is given in the small portions, the recommended dose will not be reached yet.
Dosage
Babies and children to 3-year age
Have to accept from 3 to 5 bags (or more, if necessary) within 24 hours that is equivalent one-one and a half a daily dose (the prepared solution).
To children of middle age
The single dose makes 1 bag after each bowel emptying.
To children of advanced age and adults
The single dose makes 1-2 bags after each bowel emptying.
Drug is appointed in the form of solution at the rate of 150 ml \kg of body weight for babies and children of younger age and - from 20 to 40 ml \kg of body weight - for children of middle and advanced age and adults.
Higher doses can be used in an initiation of treatment for a bystry and full recovery of loss of liquid.
Treatment duration
Treatment by the drug Gidrovit® should be continued while diarrhea lasts. Expediency of continuation of treatment: more than 24 hours - for babies and children of younger age and more than 36 hours - for children of school age and adults, is defined directly by the doctor.
At the room temperature solution, ready to the use, is stable within one hour. All unused portions of solution have to be thrown out one hour later after reception.
At storage in the refrigerator solution is stable no more than 24 hours.
Features of use:
Treatment of Gidrovitom® should be begun as soon as possible in order to avoid effects of serious losses of liquid (consciousness oppression, hypovolemic shock). Severe dehydration, especially at babies has to be compensated initially by intravenous injections, and then if it is pertinent, peroral therapy.
The diarrhea accompanied with frequent vomiting can be a symptom of a serious disease. If diarrhea does not pass for a long time and/or if the general state worsens, it is necessary to see a doctor urgently.
At use of the drug Gidrovit® for the children who are on breastfeeding change of a diet is not required. Continue to give Gidrovit® in the small portions between feedings.
The children who are not on breastfeeding can return to the normal mode of meal 6-12 hours later. Babies aged up to 6 months the first portion of milk mix should dilute with water (1 part of milk mix plus 2 parts of water or 1 part of milk mix + 1 part of water). Their usual portion of milk mix is given to babies of more advanced age undiluted. Children of younger and advanced age should give the food containing the polymeric carbohydrates suitable this age (for example potatoes, rice, bananas).
Гидровит® it is not recommended to apply if at intake drug is badly acquired in digestive tract (for example, at acute impassability of intestines, vomiting).
The persons suffering from a fenilketonuriya, inborn disbolism should remember that Gidrovit® [for children strawberry] contains aspartame - substitute of sugar which is transformed in an organism to phenylalanine.
The patients suffering from a diabetes mellitus have to consider that one Gidrovita® package contains 3,56 g of glucose that is equivalent to 3,56 g of carbohydrates or 0,3 g of substitute of carbohydrates.
Concentration of glucose in ready solution for intake: 90 mmol/l.
Concentration of electrolytes in ready solution for intake:
Sodium of +60 mmol/l Potassium of +20 mmol/l Chloride-60 of mmol/l Tsitrat3-10 of mmol/l
Osmolality of ready solution for intake: 240 ¼«ß¼/l.
Interaction with other medicines:
Effect of cardiac glycosides can be weakened. At the patients who are receiving medical treatment for glycosides at reception of Gidrovita®neobkhodimo to control potassium concentration in blood.
Contraindications:
Hyperpotassemia
With care. At patients with the disturbances of water and electrolytic balance connected with insufficiency of function of kidneys.
At the patients having heart failure and arterial hypertension.
At the patients suffering from a diabetes mellitus as Gidrovit® contains 3,56 g of glucose in one package.
Overdose:
For the patients who do not have renal failures usually there is no risk of poisoning or overdose with this drug.
At use of this glyukozo-electrolytic solution, at patients with the confirmed or latent proceeding diabetes mellitus (diabetes mellitus) sugar level in blood can increase, up to a condition of a diabetic coma.
Accidental intoxication undiluted powder can break electrolytic balance and strengthen diarrhea.
Always consult with the doctor in case of overdose.
Storage conditions:
In the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
