General characteristics. Structure:
Active agents: paracetamol of 300 mg, Phenylephrinum hydrochloride of 5 mg, ascorbic acid of 20 mg.
Excipients: sodium saccharinate, sodium cyclomate, citric acid, sodium citrate, starch corn, sucrose, fragrance lemon 610399 E, dye E 100 curcumine, silicon dioxide colloid.
Pharmacological properties:
Coldrex the Junior Hot Drink — the combined drug.
Paracetamol has anesthetic and febrifugal effect, Phenylephrinum reduces hypostasis of mucous membranes of bosoms of a nose owing to what breath is facilitated, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) fills the increased need for vitamin C at cold and flu.
Indications to use:
The feeling of a congestion of a nose, pain in bosoms of a nose and in a throat is applied at children of 6-12 years to elimination of symptoms of catarrhal diseases and flu, such as the increased temperature, a headache, a fever, a joint pain and muscles.
Route of administration and doses:
To pour out contents of 1 bag in a mug, to pour about 125 ml of hot water, to stir before dissolution. If it is necessary, to add cold water and sugar.
Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 bag each 4 hours. Not to accept more than 4 bags within 24 hours. Not to give drug to children up to 6 years without consultation with the doctor.
Drug is not recommended to apply more than five days without consultation with the doctor. If symptoms remain, see a doctor.
Do not exceed the specified dose. In case of overdose, immediately ask for medical care even if the child feels well since there is a risk of the delayed serious damage of a liver.
Features of use:
Before administration of drug consultation of the doctor is necessary in case of need observance of a hyposodium diet (each bag contains 0,06 g of sodium).
In order to avoid toxic damage of a liver drug should not be combined about ethanol - the containing drugs.
Active agents Coldrex the Junior do not cause drowsiness.
Side effects:
In the recommended doses drug usually well is transferred.
Paracetamol seldom has side effect. Allergic reactions, for example, skin rash, a small tortoiseshell, a Quincke's disease are sometimes possible. Seldom — thrombocytopenia, a leukopenia, an agranulocytosis. At prolonged use with exceeding of the recommended dose action can be observed hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic.
Phenylephrinum can make sick, a headache, slight increase of arterial pressure and in rare instances heartbeat which pass after drug withdrawal.

Interaction with other medicines:
Drug should not be accepted along with tricyclic antidepressants, beta adrenoblockers, MAO inhibitors and within 14 days after their cancellation.
The risk of development of a hepatotoxic action increases at a concomitant use of barbiturates, dipheninum, carbamazepine, rifampicin, a zidovudine and other inductors of microsomal enzymes of a liver.
Consult with the attending physician if you accept Metoclopramidum, домперидон (the nausea applied to treatment and vomiting) or Colestyraminum (used for decrease in level of cholesterol in blood) since Metoclopramidum and домперидон increase paracetamol absorption speed, and Colestyraminum reduces.
Glucocorticosteroids increase risk of development of glaucoma. Paracetamol reduces efficiency of diuretic drugs. The halothane increases risk of ventricular arrhythmia. Fenilefrin reduces hypotensive effect of a guanetidin. Guanetidin strengthens alpha адреностимулирующий effect of Phenylephrinum. Paracetamol at reception strengthens effect of indirect anticoagulants (warfarin and other coumarins) for a long time that increases risk of bleedings.
Contraindications:
Drug it is not necessary to accept along with others paracetamol - the containing drugs, at hypersensitivity to the ingredients which are a part of drug at genetic absence dehydrogenase glyukozo-6-phosphate, at diseases of system of blood, at heavy abnormal liver functions or kidneys, a thyrotoxicosis, diabetes, arterial hypertension, heart diseases (the expressed stenosis of the mouth of an aorta, an acute myocardial infarction, tachyarrhythmias); to closed-angle glaucoma, at children 6 years are younger.

Overdose:
Drug should be accepted only in the recommended doses.
Overdose signs: nausea, vomiting, stomach aches, perspiration, pallor of integuments, cardiac arrhythmias. In 1-2 days signs of damage of a liver can be defined. In hard cases the liver failure and coma develops. At suspicion of poisoning it is necessary to ask for medical assistance immediately. The victim should make a gastric lavage within the first 4 hours of poisoning and to see a doctor. A specific antidote at poisoning with paracetamol — Acetylcysteinum.
