General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 0,008 g of a hlorgeksidin of a biglyukonat; Excipients of the Polietilenoksidny basis (poly(ethylene oxide) 1500, poly(ethylene oxide) 400) - enough before receiving suppository weighing from 1,42 to 1,58 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Geksikon ® D - antiseptic drug for topical administration, is active concerning the elementary, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including concerning Treponema pallidum, Chlamidia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis. To slabochuvstvitelna drug some strains of Psevdomonas spp., Proteus spp., and also acid resisting forms of bacteria, disputes of bacteria are steady. Geksikon ® D does not break functional activity of lactobacilli.

Pharmacokinetics. After an accidental proglatyvaniye of 300 mg of Cmax it is reached in 30 min. and makes 0,206 mkg/l (it is practically not soaked up from a GIT). It is removed generally with a fecal masses (90%), less than 1% are allocated with kidneys.

Indications to use:

Treatment of colpitises (including nonspecific, mixed, gonorrheal, mecotic), a bacterial vaginosis.

Prevention of venereal diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, clamidiosis, ureaplasmosis), infectious and inflammatory complications in children's gynecology (before operational treatment of gynecologic diseases).

Route of administration and doses:

Apply intravaginalno. Before use suppository is exempted from planimetric packaging. For treatment: on 1 suppository 2 times a day, within 7-10 days. If necessary extension of a course of treatment up to 20 days is possible. For prevention of venereal diseases: 1 suppository no later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse.

Features of use:

Keeps activity (though a little lowered) in the presence of blood, pus. Simultaneous use with iodine is not recommended.

Side effects:

Extremely seldom (less than in 0,1% of cases) the allergic reactions, an itch undergoing later drug withdrawals are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not compatible to the detergents containing anion group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and soaps if they are entered intravaginalno. The toilet of external genitals does not influence efficiency and portability of suppositories of vaginal Geksikon®D since drug is used intravaginalno.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Storage conditions:

In dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
