General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: salbutamol the sulfate equivalent to salbutamol – 2 mg, Bromhexine a hydrochloride – 8 mg, гвайфенезин – 100 mg;

Excipients: calcium hydrophosphate, starch corn, methylparahydroxybenzoate (methylparaben), пропилпарагидроксибензоат (propylparaben), talc cleared, silicon dioxide colloid, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The combined drug, has broncholitic, expectorant and mucolytic effect. Salbutamol - broncholitic means, stimulates beta2-adrenoceptors of bronchial tubes, blood vessels and a myometrium. Warns or eliminates a spasm of bronchial tubes, reduces resistance in respiratory tracts, increases the vital capacity of lungs. Causes expansion of coronary arteries, does not reduce arterial pressure. Bromhexine - mucolytic means, has expectorant and antibechic effect. Increases a serous component of a bronchial secret; activates cilia of a ciliary epithelium, reduces viscosity of a phlegm, increases its volume and improves an otkhozhdeniye. Gvayfenezin - mucolytic means, reduces surface intention of structures of the bronchopulmonary device; stimulates the secretory cells of a mucous membrane of bronchial tubes producing neutral polysaccharides, depolymerizes acid mucopolysaccharides, reduces viscosity of a phlegm, activates the tsiliarny device of bronchial tubes, facilitates removal of a phlegm and promotes transition of unproductive cough to productive.

Pharmacokinetics. Salbutamol: at intake absorption - high. Meal reduces absorption speed, but does not influence bioavailability. Communication with proteins of plasma - 10%. Gets through a placenta. Is exposed to presistemny metabolism in a liver and in an intestinal wall, by means of a fenolsulfotransferaza it is inactivated to ether 4-o-sulfate. An elimination half-life (T1/2) - 3.8-6 h. It is removed by kidneys (69-90%), it is preferential in the form of an inactive fenolsulfatny metabolite (60%) during 72 h and with bile (4%). Bioavailability of the Salbutamol entered orally makes about 50%. Bromhexine: at intake almost completely (99%) it is soaked up in the gastro intestinal path (GIP) within 30 min. Bioavailability - low (effect of primary "passing" through a liver). Gets through placental and hematoencephalic barriers. In a liver is exposed to demethylation and oxidation, it is metabolized to pharmacological active Ambroxol. T1/2 - 15 h (owing to slow return diffusion from fabrics). It is removed by kidneys. At a chronic renal failure removal of metabolites is broken. At repeated use can kumulirovat. Gvayfenezin: absorption from a GIT - bystry (in 25-30 min. after intake). T1/2 - 1 h. Gets into the fabrics containing acid mucopolysaccharides. About 60% of the administered drug are exposed to metabolism in a liver. It is removed by lungs (with a phlegm) and kidneys both in an invariable look, and in the form of inactive metabolites.

Indications to use:

As a part of a combination therapy of the acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases which are followed by formation of difficult separated viscous secret:
- bronchial asthma;
- tracheobronchitis;
- obstructive bronchitis;
- pneumonia;
- emphysema of lungs;
- whooping cough;
- pneumoconiosis;
- pulmonary tuberculosis, etc.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside. To adults and children 12 years are more senior appoint on 1 tablet 3 times/days.
Children aged from 6 years up to 12 years - on 1/2 or 1 tablet are 3 times/days old.
Use of Askoril Ekspektorant syrup is recommended to children under 6 years.

Side effects:

Seldom: at use in high doses the headache, dizziness, the increased nervous irritability, a sleep disorder, drowsiness, a tremor, spasms, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, an aggravation of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum, a cardiopalmus are sometimes observed, coloring of urine in pink color, allergic reactions (rash, urticaria), a collapse, a bronchospasm is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Others beta 2 - адреномиметические means and theophylline are strengthened by effect of salbutamol and increase probability of emergence of side effects.
Askoril do not appoint along with the drugs containing codeine and other antibechics as it complicates an otkhozhdeniye of the liquefied phlegm.
Askoril who is a part of drug Bromhexine promotes penetration of antibiotics (erythromycin, cefalexin, Oxytetracyclinum) into pulmonary fabric.
Askoril along with non-selective blockers of beta adrenoceptors, such as propranolol is not recommended to use drug.
The drug which is a part Askoril salbutamol is not recommended to patients who receive monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO).
Diuretics and drugs of glucocorticosteroids strengthen gipokaliyemichesky effect of salbutamol.
It is not recommended to accept alkaline drink along with Askoril.

Contraindications:

- hypersensitivity to drug components;
- pregnancy, lactation period;
- tachyarrhythmia, myocarditis;
- heart diseases;
- dekompensirovanny diabetes mellitus;
- thyrotoxicosis;
- glaucoma;
- liver or renal failure;

Pregnancy and lactation
