General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 0,25 mg of the coal activated.

Excipients: potato starch, sucrose (sugar).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has enterosorbiruyushchy, disintoxication and antidiarrheal effect. Treats group of polyvalent physical and chemical antidotes, has big superficial activity, adsorbs poisons and toxins from digestive tract before their absorption, alkaloids, glycosides, barbiturates, etc. hypnotic drugs, medicines for the general anesthesia, salt of heavy metals, toxins of bacterial, plant, animal origin, derivatives of phenol, cyanhydric acid, streptocides, gases. It is active as a sorbent at hemoperfusion.

Poorly adsorbs acids and alkalis (including iron salts, cyanides, malathion, methanol, ethylene glycol). Does not irritate a mucous membrane of digestive tract. Special processing (increase in porosity) considerably increases the adsorbing surface of coal.

Indications to use:

As enterosorbiruyushchy means in complex therapy drug is shown at: dyspepsia, meteorism, processes of rotting, fermentation, hypersecretion of slime, hydrochloric acid, gastric juice, diarrhea; poisoning with alkaloids, glycosides, salts of heavy metals, food intoxication; food toxicoinfection, dysentery, a salmonellosis, a burn disease in a stage of a toxaemia and a septicotoxemia; the renal failure, chronic hepatitis, an acute viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, atopic dermatitis, bronchial asthma, gastritis, chronic cholecystitis, a coloenteritis, holetsistopankreatit; poisonings with chemical compounds and medicines (including organophosphorous and organochlorine compounds, psychoactive medicines), allergic diseases, disbolism, abstinence alcoholic syndrome; intoxication at oncological patients against the background of beam and chemotherapy; preparation for X-ray and endoscopic inspections (for reduction of content of gases in intestines).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, for 1-2 h to or after food and reception of other medicines. An average dose – 0,1-0,2 g/kg/days (in 3 receptions). Treatment duration – 3-14 days, if necessary the repeated course in 2 weeks is possible.

At dyspepsia, a meteorism – on 1-2 g 3-4 times a day. Course of treatment of 3-7 days.

The course of treatment at the diseases which are followed by processes of fermentation and rotting in intestines, hypersecretion of a gastric juice proceeds 1-2 weeks. Adults – on 10 g 3 times a day; children from 3 to 7 years – on 5 g 3 times a day, 7-14 years – on 7 g 3 times a day on reception. Duration of a course is 3-15 days.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Researches on safety and efficiency of use of the coal activated at pregnant women and nursing mothers were not seen off. Drug can be used only if the importance of effect for mother exceeds risk of development of side effects of a fruit and the child.

At treatment of intoxications it is necessary to create excess of coal in a stomach (before its washing) and in intestines (after a gastric lavage). Reduction of concentration of coal in the environment promotes a desorption of the connected substance and its absorption (for the prevention of a resorption of the released substance the repeated gastric lavage and purpose of coal is recommended). Existence of food masses in digestive tract demands introduction in high doses since contents of digestive tract are occluded by coal and its activity decreases. If poisoning is caused by the substances participating in enterogepatichesky circulation (cardiac glycosides, indometacin, morphine, etc. opiates), it is necessary to apply coal within several days.

Paints fecal masses in dark color.

It is recommended to store in the dry place, separately from the substances emitting gases or vapors in the atmosphere. Storage on air (especially wet) reduces sorption ability. The coal activated does not exert impact on ability to manage vehicles and mechanisms.

Side effects:

Dyspepsia, locks or diarrhea; at prolonged use – a hypovitaminosis, decrease in absorption from digestive tract of nutrients (fats, proteins), hormones

Interaction with other medicines:

Reduces efficiency of at the same time accepted HP, reduces efficiency of the HP operating on a mucous membrane of a GIT (including an ipecacuanha and a thermopsis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, digestive tract cankers (including a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut, ulcer colitis), bleedings from digestive tract, co-administration of anti-toxic medicines which effect develops after absorption (including methionine). Children's age up to 3 years.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry place at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 3 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging.

Tablets of 250 mg. On 10 tablets in planimetric bezjyacheykovy packaging from paper packaging. On 10 tablets in a blister strip packaging from a film of the polyvinyl chloride and printing aluminum foil varnished or papers packaging. On 2, 3, 5 blister strip packagings with the application instruction place in a pack cardboard. On 20 planimetric bezjyacheykovy or blister strip packagings with the equal number of application instructions place in a pack cardboard.
