Гентамицин-Ферейн®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 3 g of Gentamycini sulfas.

Excipients: disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (Trilonum of B) (эдетат dinatrium), Polyglucinum, (6% glucose polymer solution - a dextran with a molecular weight from 50000 to 70000 with addition of 0,9% of sodium of chloride), water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. A bactericidal antibiotic of a broad spectrum of activity from group of aminoglycosides. Communicates with 30S in subunit of ribosomes and breaks protein synthesis, interfering with formation of a complex of transport and information RNA, at the same time there is a wrong reading of a genetic code and formation of nonfunctional proteins; polyribosomes are split and lose ability to synthesize protein (бактериостаз). Unlike other antibiotics aminoglycosides possess bactericidal action - in big concentration reduce barrier functions of membranes of cells and cause death of microorganisms.

It is effective concerning Staphylococcus spp. (koagulazopolozhitelny and koagulazootritsatelny), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp. (including indolpositive and indolnegative strains), Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus aegyptius, Enterobacter aerogenes, Moraxella lacunata, Neisseria spp. (including Neisseria gonorrhoeae).

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration it is soaked up in insignificant quantities. Owing to insignificant absorption at topical administration has practically no system effects.

Indications to use:

The bacterial infections of an eye caused by sensitive microflora: the blepharitis, blefarokonjyunktivit, the dacryocystitis, conjunctivitis, a keratitis, a keratoconjunctivitis, meybomiit.

Route of administration and doses:

Locally. At infectious damages of moderately severe eyes appoint on 1 drop each 4 hours; at severe defeats - on 1 drop each hour.

Features of use:

If within several days the clinical effect is absent, it is necessary to see a doctor.

Against the background of treatment insensitive microorganisms can develop. In similar cases it is necessary to cancel treatment and to begin performing the corresponding therapy.

Side effects:

Local reactions: burning sensation, a thermalgia in an eye, allergic reactions (an itch, a hyperemia and puffiness, conjunctivitis).

Interaction with other medicines:

Pharmaceutical it is incompatible with other medicines.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age till 1 year.

Storage conditions:

List B. In protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 20 °C. A period of storage - 2 years. Not to use after the expiry date specified on packaging!

Packaging:

Drops eye 0,3%. On 5 or 10 ml in the bottles which are hermetically corked by rubber bungs with the subsequent running in caps aluminum or in polymeric bottles droppers. On 1 glass bottle or on 1 polymeric bottle dropper together with the application instruction in a pack from a cardboard. On 5 glass bottles or on 5 polymeric bottles droppers in a blister strip packaging from a film polyvinyl chloride. On 5 glass bottles or on 5 polymeric bottles droppers in a blister strip packaging from a film of the polyvinyl chloride and aluminum foil varnished printing or a packing material. On 1, 2 blister strip packagings together with the application instruction in a pack from a cardboard. On 5 or 10 bottles together with the application instruction in a pack with an insert with cells for bottles in 1 or 2 rows from a cardboard.
