Gentamitsin-AKOS

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: Gentamycini sulfas (in terms of gentamycin) – 0,1 g Excipients: paraffin oil firm – 5,0 g, vaseline medical – to 100 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Bactericidal antibiotic of a broad spectrum of activity from group of aminoglycosides. Communicates with 30S in subunit of ribosomes and breaks protein synthesis, interfering with formation of a complex of transport and information RNA, at the same time there are a wrong reading of a genetic code and formation of nonfunctional proteins; polyribosomes are split and lose ability to synthesize protein (бактериостаз). Unlike other antibiotics of an aminogliklozida possess bactericidal action – in big concentration reduce barrier functions of membranes of cells and cause death of microorganisms.
It is highly effective concerning the bacterial infections of skin caused by Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeriginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes.

Pharmacokinetics. At external use it is practically not soaked up. From big sites of the surface of the skin injured (a wound, a burn) or covered with granulyatsionny fabric, absorption happens quickly.

Indications to use:

The bacterial infections of skin and soft tissues caused by sensitive microflora – a pyoderma (including gangrenous), a superficial folliculitis, a furunculosis, a sycosis, a paronychia.
Infected: dermatitis (including contact, seborrheal and eczematic), ulcers (including varicose), wounds (including surgical, vyalozazhivayushchy), burns (including plants), stings of insects, abscesses of skin and cyst, "vulgar" eels; secondary bacterial infection at fungal and viral infections of skin.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly!
A thin film of ointment is applied on an affected area by 3-4 times a day. Course of treatment of 7-14 days. Duration of treatment is established by the doctor. Ointment is applied to treatment of infections of dry skin (including against the background of eczema or psoriasis)
If necessary apply a bandage.

Features of use:

With care apply gentamycin at parkinsonism, a myasthenia, renal failures. At use of gentamycin it is necessary to control functions of kidneys, acoustical and vestibular devices.

At external use of gentamycin for a long time on the big surfaces of skin it is necessary to consider a possibility of resorptive action, especially at patients with a chronic renal failure.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: nausea, vomiting, increase in activity of hepatic transaminases, hyperbilirubinemia.

From system of a hemopoiesis: anemia, leukopenia, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia.

From an urinary system: oliguria, proteinuria, microhematuria, renal failure.

From TsNS and peripheral nervous system: headache, drowsiness, disturbance of neuromuscular conductivity, decrease in hearing, vestibular frustration, irreversible deafness.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, an itch, a small tortoiseshell, fever, it is rare - a Quincke's edema.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity (including to other aminoglycosides in the anamnesis). 
Use at pregnancy is not specified.

Storage conditions:

List B. At a temperature from 8 °C to 15 °C. To store in the places unavailable to children. 
Period of validity 3 years. Not to apply after the period of validity specified on packaging.
