ASEPTA for gums

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 1% of metronidazole, 0,1% of a hlorgeksidin биглюконат, 0,3% of oil of mint of radio, 0,008% of menthol.

Excipients: liquid paraffin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, pectin, vaseline, poly(ethylene oxide) 400, polyethylene glycol ether of lauryl alcohol, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium saccharinate. 

Gum АСЕПТА® balm — the combined means intended for use at infectious and inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity.  

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Efficiency of means is caused by existence in its structure of such antibacterial components as metronidazole and хлоргексидин.

Metronidazole — derivative a nitroimidazole, is active concerning the anaerobic protozoa and anaerobic bacteria causing diseases of a parodont: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Prevotella denticola, Fusobacterium fusiformis, Wolinella recta, Treponema spp., Eikenella corrodens, Borrelia vincenti, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, Selenomonas spp.

Hlorgeksidin — an antiseptic agent of a broad spectrum of activity. It is active concerning vegetative forms of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, yeast, dermatophytes and lipophilic viruses.

Effect of balm is supplemented with bactericidal properties of essential oil of mint and the refreshing effect of menthol.

Adhesive basis. The adhesive basis of balm consisting of pectin and carboxymethylcellulose when drawing on a mucous membrane bulks up and is fixed within 15-30 minutes. Thus, active components work locally and is long: in the place of an inflammation in an oral cavity.

Indications to use:

- acute and chronic ulitis
- acute and chronic periodontal disease
- stomatitis

Route of administration and doses:

1. To clean teeth and to rinse an oral cavity.
2. To carefully dry up gingivas a dry cotton or gauze plug (when drawing on an undried surface reduction of duration of effect of balm is possible).
3. Without rubbing, to apply balm with a thin layer on gingivas by means of a finger or a wadding stick.
4. To moisten the applied balm with water.
It is not recommended to eat food and drink within 30 minutes after putting balm.

To apply on gingivas 2 times a day. Duration of use makes 7-10 days.
To prevention of aggravations of a chronic ulitis and a periodontal disease ASEPTA® balm is applied by 2 times a day within 7-10 days. Preventive courses are conducted by 2-3 times a year.

Features of use:

Pregnancy and lactation. Experience of use of balm during pregnancy and a lactation is absent.

Use of balm does not replace hygienic toothbrushing therefore during a course of use of means toothbrushing has to be continued.

Side effects:

At topical administration components have no systemic action. Can sometimes be observed: allergic reactions, "metal" smack in a mouth.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of components of balm (including hlorgeksidina, metronidazole and derivatives of a nitroimidazole).

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature from +5 to +25 °C in the dry place. Period of validity 2 years. Not to use after a period of validity. Date of production is specified on packaging and a bend of a tuba.
