Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The valerate which is a part of drug of betamethasone renders antiinflammatory, antiallergic, anti-exudative and antipruritic action.

Cetylpyridinium chloride provides to Betametazon-Darnitsa cream bacteriostatic and a fungistasis therefore drug prevents development of consecutive infection.

Pharmacokinetics. Betametazon-Darnitsa cream use usually does not lead to absorption of betamethasone in a system blood stream and does not cause during a course of treatment of changes of level of cortisol in a blood plasma. However it is considered that at topical administration of drugs with glucocorticosteroids for treatment of children, and also at their prolonged use on extensive sites of skin system absorption of glucocorticosteroids is possible.

Pharmaceutical characteristics.

Main physical and chemical properties: cream of inodorous white color.

Indications to use:

Drug is used for reduction of inflammatory displays of the dermatitis sensitive to glucocorticosteroid therapy, such as: eczema (atopic, monetopodobny), contact dermatitis, seborrheal dermatitis, neurodermatitis, solar dermatitis, exfoliative dermatitis, staz-dermatitis, radiation dermatitis, intertriginozny dermatitis, psoriasis, anogenitalny and senile itch.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is applied with a thin layer on the struck surface of skin by 1-3 times a day depending on weight of a state. In most cases for achievement of effect it is enough to put 1-2 times a day.

Features of use:

It is impossible to allow hit of drug in eyes, and also it is not necessary to apply cream on skin around eyes as at the same time development of glaucoma, cataract, fungal infections of eyes and an aggravation of a herpes infection is possible.

With care apply at a diabetes mellitus.

Long use of drug on face skin as emergence of a rozatse, peroral dermatitis and acne is possible is not recommended.

Cream is not applied to treatment of trophic ulcers.

Prolonged use of drug, and also use under occlusive bandages in connection with risk of emergence of side effects from endocrine system is not recommended. At emergence of symptoms of oppression of function гипоталамо - pituitary and adrenal system it is necessary to cancel drug use.

In case of development of fungal or bacterial superinfection of skin additional use of antifungal or antibacterial agent is necessary.

Use of cream on a pilar part of the head is not recommended.

Ability to influence the speed of reactions at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Betametazon-Darnitsa does not influence the speed of reactions at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms.

Side effects:

From an immune sistemy:reaktion of hypersensitivity.

From endocrine a sistemy:supressiya гипоталамо - pituitary and epinephral system with development of secondary insufficiency of epinephral glands, hypercorticoidism symptomatology, an Icenco-Cushing syndrome.

From system of skin and its appendages: irritation, burning, an itch, a xeroderma, local atrophic changes, namely - thinning of skin, emergence стриев and cracks, a folliculitis, a hypertrichosis, acne rash, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis.

At use of drug for treatment of children, and also at long use on big sites of skin development of the system by-effects characteristic of glucocorticosteroids is possible.

Side reactions can arise more often at use of occlusive bandages.

Interaction with other medicines:

Interaction of Betametazon-Darnitsa cream with other drugs is not revealed, however drug is not recommended to be used along with other ointments or creams, in particular, containing anion surfactants which inactivate action chloride cetylpyridinium. In cases when it is possible to assume system absorption of betamethasone of valerate, it is necessary to remember that at its combined use with cardiac glycosides their action amplifies; with diuretics – potassium removal increases; with gipoglikemiziruyushchy drugs, peroral anticoagulants – weakening of their action is observed; with NPVS – the risk of development of erosive cankers of a GIT increases.

Contraindications:

Use of Betametazon-Darnitsa cream is contraindicated at pink and ordinary (youthful) eels, viral, fungal and bacterial infections of skin, a tuberculosis cutis, skin displays of syphilis, skin reactions after vaccination, individual hypersensitivity to betamethasone or other components of cream.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Because safety of topical administration of glucocorticosteroids at pregnant women is not established, purpose of drug is possible only in that case when the advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit (child). During pregnancy it is not necessary to use drugs of this group a long time and in high doses. As it is not established whether glucocorticosteroids at topical administration can get into maternal milk, it is necessary to estimate degree of need of purpose of drug of mother and in case of its use to make the decision on the feeding termination by a breast.

Children. Drug is not appointed for treatment of children.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose were not registered. However long use of overdoses of drug, especially at children, can lead to suppression гипоталамо - pituitary and adrenal system with development of secondary insufficiency of adrenal glands and emergence of symptoms of a hypercorticoidism, including an Icenco-Cushing syndrome. In such cases administration of drug is stopped and carry out a symptomatic treatment.
