Periphlebitis (periphlebitis; peri-+ Greek phleps, phlebos a vein + - ит) - an inflammation of the cellulose surrounding a vein; it is combined, as a rule, with phlebitis and a vein thrombosis.
In the beginning a periphlebitis perivascular connecting fabric is surprised, then the inflammation passes to walls of vessels. The first symptom of a periphlebitis of disease process is the wrong fever which in the terminal period can be replaced by subnormal temperature. Quickly the true anemia accrues (owing to the hemolitic phenomena). Pale pastose skin accepts an ikterichny shade. On skin efflorestsention — from makulezny rash to extensive hemorrhages can appear.
After healing of an umbilical wound at a periphlebitis there can be a local hyperemia, on skin of a stomach expanded veins or neogenic collaterals, the lymphangitis phenomena differ. At a palpation of a stomach dense infiltrate, тяж, going on the course of an umbilical vein is defined. The stomach is blown up, the splenohepatomegalia is defined. The lock can be observed, but more often there is a diarrhea.
At a blood analysis at a periphlebitis the hypoproteinemia, acceleration of ROE, considerable reduction of hemoglobin and erythrocytes, sharp increase in number of white blood cells, a neutrocytosis with shift to the left to young and myelocytes is found. At a research of urine the proteinuria, a cylindruria, an erythrocyturia, a leukocyturia at a disease of a periphlebitis is established.
The periphlebitis is the disease arising at an infection of umbilical vessels. At a periphlebitis there is an infectious defeat of vascular walls of an umbilical cord can develop along with an omphalitis (the becoming wet navel, a navel ulcer and so forth) or at well begun to live wound.
Treatment of the Periphlebitis:
Antiinflammatory therapy by nonsteroid anti-inflammatory nonsteroid drugs, a symptomatic treatment is carried out. Wearing elastic linen is recommended.
