General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 2,5 g of ketoprofen of lizinovy salt on 100 g of gel.

Excipients: polyethyleneglycol, methylhydroxybenzoate, пропилгидроксибензоат, carbomer, trietanolamine, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Ketoprofen concerns to the NPVP group, possessing antiinflammatory, anti-exudative and soothing action.

In the form of gel provides topical treatment of damages of joints, sinews, sheaves, muscles, skin, veins, absorbent vessels and lymph nodes. At a joint syndrome causes weakening of joint pains at rest and at the movement, reduction of morning constraint and a swelling of joints.

Pharmacokinetics. Ketoprofen well gets through integuments and has local antiinflammatory and soothing effect. Bioavailability of gel – about 5%. The soaked-up part of ketoprofen contacts proteins of a blood plasma about 99%. Drug is metabolized in a liver. About 80% of the accepted dose are allocated with urine in the form of metabolites, less than 10% are allocated in not changed look.

Does not kumulirut in an organism.

Indications to use:

It is applied locally as the anesthetizing and antiinflammatory drug at a symptomatic treatment:

• backbone pains, neuralgia, mialgiya,
• inflammatory and degenerative diseases of a musculoskeletal system (including arthritis, bursitis, synovitis, tendinitis, lumbago),
• uncomplicated injuries, in particular sports injuries, dislocations, stretchings or ruptures of sheaves and sinews, bruises, posttraumatic pains,
• as a part of a combination therapy at inflammatory diseases of veins (phlebitis, a periphlebitis), absorbent vessels, lymph nodes (limfangiit, superficial lymphadenitis).

Route of administration and doses:

For external use. 2-3 times a day to apply a small amount (3-5 cm) of gel on skin in a healthy place and it is easy to rub.

There is no need of overlaying of a dry bandage as gel is well soaked up through skin, has no smell, does not contain dyes, does not leave fat spots, does not soil clothes.

Features of use:

Not to allow hit of drug on mucous membranes and in eyes. Not to apply on the damaged sites of skin.

During prolonged use it is necessary to be careful at patients with a heavy hepatic unsufficiency and/or kidneys.

In cases of emergence of rash it is necessary to stop treatment and to carry out the corresponding therapy.

Use of drug during pregnancy and a lactation. In I and II trimesters of pregnancy drug can be used only in case of need. In the III trimester of pregnancy use of drug is contraindicated. It is not recommended to accept during breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, dermahemia, photosensitization, skin dieback, purpura.

Interaction with other medicines:

In cases of frequent and prolonged use interaction symptoms with other drugs, such, as can appear at system use.

Joint reception with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucocorticosteroids, ethanol, corticotropin can lead to formation of ulcers and development of gastrointestinal bleedings.

Co-administration with peroral anticoagulants, heparin, trombolitika, antiagregant, tsefaperazony, tsefamandoly increases risk of bleedings.

Reduces effect of hypotensive drugs and diuretics (inhibition of synthesis of prostaglandins).

Increases hypoglycemic effect of insulin and peroral hypoglycemic drugs (recalculation of a dose is necessary).

Joint appointment with Valproatum of sodium causes disturbance of aggregation of thrombocytes. Increases concentration in a blood plasma of verapamil and nifedipine.

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to ketoprofen and/or another compound drug,
• hypersensitivity to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,
• the becoming wet dermatosis, the eczema infected grazes, wounds, burns
• pregnancy (III trimester), lactation.

Ketoprofen can cause a bronchospasm in persons sensitive to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Storage conditions:
