Glutargin, solution for infection 20% on 5 ml No. 10

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: arginine glutamate; 1 ml of solution supports arginine of a glutamate (in terms of 100% substance) 200 mg; excipients: water for injections. Main physical and chemical properties: transparent colourless or slightly yellowish solution.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Glutargin – salt of arginine and the glutaminic acid playing an important role in ensuring biochemical processes of a neytyoralization and removal from an organism of a highly toxic metabolite of exchange of azoyotisty substances – ammonia. Gipoammoniyemichesky effects of drug realizuyotsya by activation of neutralization of ammonia in an ornitinovy cycle of synthesis of urea, binding of ammonia in a non-toxic glutamine, and also strengthenings of removal of ammonia from the central nervous system and its excretion from an organism. Thanks to these properties of Glutargin effects of ammonia decrease all-toxic, including neurotoxic.

Glutargin has also hepatoprotective effect caused by antioxidant, anti-hypoxemic and membrane stabilizing properties, positively influences processes of power supply in hepatocytes.

At a drunkenness Glutargin stimulates utilization of alcohol in monooksigenazny system of a liver, prevents oppression of key enzyme of utilization of ethanol – alcohol dehydrogenase; accelerates an inactivation and removal of toxic products of metabolism of ethanol as a result of increase in education and oxidation of succinic acid; reduces the oppressing influence of alcohol on TsNS due to neuromediator properties of exciting glutaminic acid. Thanks to these properties Glutargin shows the anti-toxic and sobering effects.

Glutargin does not render embriotoksichesky, gonadotoksichesky, mutagen and teratogenic effects, does not cause allergic and immunotoxic reactions.

Indications to use:

As a part of complex therapy of acute and chronic hepatitises of various etiology, including at poisoning with hepatotropic poisons (a death angel, chemical and medicinal substances), cirrhosis, leptospirosis. Hepatic encephalopathy, a prekoma and a coma which are followed by a giperammoniyemiya. Condition of acute alcoholic poisoning of average and heavy degree, including alcoholic encephalopathy and coma.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is appointed the adult intravenously and intramusculary.

Hepatitises, giperammoniyemiya. Intravenously enter kapelno 1-2 times a day on 10 ml (2 g) on 150-250 ml of 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride or 5% of solution of glucose with a speed of 60-70 thaws a minute. In hard cases the daily dose of drug is raised to 30-40 ml (6-8 g) divided into two introductions. A course of treatment – 5-10 days. The highest daily dose at intravenous administration – 40 ml (8 g).

Intramusculary the drug is administered slowly deeply in a gluteus by 1-2 times a day on 5 ml (1 g). If necessary the dose of drug is raised to 10 ml (2 g) by 1-2 times a day. A course of treatment – 5-10 days. The highest daily dose at intramuscular introduction – 20 ml of drug (4 g).

Alcoholic poisoning. Intravenously enter kapelno 2 times a day on 4 ml (0,8 g) on 150-250 ml of 0,9% of solution of sodium of chloride or 5% of solution of glucose with a speed of 60-70 thaws a minute. In 2-3 days the dose is reduced to 2 ml (0,4 g).

Intramusculary the drug is administered slowly deeply in a gluteus on 4 ml (0,8 g) by 2 times a day within 2-3 days, then the dose is reduced to 2 ml (0,4 g) by 2 times a day within 5-10 days. In hard cases (an alcoholic coma) the daily dose of intravenous or intramuscular administration is raised to 10 ml (2 g) by 2 times a day.

Features of use:

At appointment patients with disturbances of functions of closed glands should consider that drug stimulates secretion of insulin and a growth hormone. Glutargin activates binding of ammonia in urea that can naturally be followed by short-term increase in its level in blood.

After a course of treatment Glutargin's solution, if necessary, it is possible peyoreyt on reception of tablets of Glutargin.

Side effects:

Are seldom possible: the expressed weakness, an asthma, a retrosternal pain, a fever, disturbance of a heart rhythm in the form of a ciliary arrhythmia, arterial hypotension, a small tortoiseshell, a Quincke's edema.

Interaction with other medicines:

Glutargin's effect on secretion of insulin increases at co-administration of Aminophyllinum. Glutargin can strengthen effect of anti-aggregation means (Dipiridamolum, etc.). Warns and weakens the neurotoxic phenomena which can arise at use of an isoniazid. Weakens effect of vinblastine.

Contraindications:

Relative contraindications is the feverish condition, a hyperexcitability, heavy disturbance of filtrational (azotovydelitelny) function of kidneys.

To store ampoules in an outside box at a temperature not above 25ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
