Description:
This disease which is characterized by inflammatory process in circumarticular tissues of large joints: the joint capsule, his ligaments surrounding it sinews and muscles.
Periarthritis symptoms:
The periarthritis is more often observed on average and advanced age.
Most often the humeroscapular periarthritis — a periarthritis of a shoulder joint meets. Also the hand periarthritis meets.
Let's consider symptomatology on the example of a humeroscapular periarthritis.
The disease can proceed in several options and take the different forms. For example, there is an easy form of this disease — a simple humeroscapular periarthritis. At a simple humeroscapular periarthritis of pain in a shoulder absolutely weak also arise only at certain movements of a hand. Also some restriction of the movement in a shoulder is felt — it is impossible to extend a hand up or to get far for a back, to touch bones of fingers a backbone.
Pain arises also in attempt of the patient to make the movements a hand when the doctor fixes it. At this moment the affected sinew strains. In such situation attempts of the patient to raise a hand up are especially painful, overcoming resistance of the doctor. Or attempts, overcoming resistance, to rotate the hand straightened in an elbow round its pivot-center — clockwise or counterclockwise. It is surprising that the same movements which are carried out without resistance do not bring absolutely any unpleasant feelings.
This form of a disease without effort will respond to treatment, and sometimes unpleasant feelings disappear by itself in 3 — 4 weeks. However without treatment the simple humeroscapular periarthritis can easily be transformed to an acute humeroscapular periarthritis. Such transformation happens approximately in 60% of cases, and usually it is preceded by an additional injury or an overload of a sore shoulder.
Though sometimes the acute humeroscapular periarthritis arises also in itself as independent primary disease — against the background of strong injury of a hand and sharp response of an organism to this damage. The sudden accruing shoulder pain which gives to a neck and to a hand turns out to be consequence of such response of an organism. At night pain amplifies. The movements by a hand through the party up, and also rotation of a hand trouble round its pivot-center and cause sharp pain while the movement of a hand forward more freely and almost without serious consequences.
Outward of the patient is characteristic — he tries to hold a hand bent in an elbow and pressed to a breast. At survey of the patient on the front surface of a shoulder the small swelling can be noted. The general condition of patients often worsens because of severe pains and the sleeplessness caused by them. There can be even small temperature (within 37,2 — 37,5ºСº).
The bad attack lasts several weeks, then intensity of pain decreases a little, the movement in a shoulder is partially recovered.
Alas, but approximately in half of cases the disease passes into the following stage — a chronic humeroscapular periarthritis. The chronic humeroscapular periarthritis is shown by moderate shoulder pains with which many patients quite could reconcile. But periodically, at the unsuccessful movements or rotation of a hand, the sore shoulder shoots an acute pain. Besides, at some ill the sleep because of feeling of an ache in a shoulder most of which often is especially strongly shown in the second half of night, at daybreak is interrupted.
In such look the chronic humeroscapular periarthritis can exist long enough, from several months to several years after which the disease in some cases "resolves by itself" — sometimes even without any medical intervention.
However at a third of patients the chronic humeroscapular periarthritis is transformed to an ankylosing periarthritis (a capsulitis, "the frozen shoulder"). This form of a disease the most adverse, and it can develop not only as continuation of other forms of a humeroscapular periarthritis, but also independently. At this form of a periarthritis of pain in the affected shoulder first happen stupid, but they are followed by strong deterioration in mobility of a shoulder. The shoulder becomes very dense to the touch and really looks frozen.
Most those movements by a hand at which the shoulder is involved leads to sharp pain. Some patients say that in comparison with "the frozen shoulder" pain a dentagra — "florets". Though there are also such shapes of "the frozen shoulder" at which pain is practically absent, but the shoulder is blocked and immobilized.
One more form of a humeroscapular periarthritis, inflammation of a long head of a biceps, arises mainly at men because of the microtrauma which arose after the sharp movement by a hand or after blow to the front surface of a shoulder. Pain at an inflammation of a long head of a biceps shoots in the front surface of a shoulder. She seldom is constant; most often pain arises unexpectedly, at some movements. Raisings of weights from a floor, and also the bending and extension of the hand bent in an elbow which are especially carried out with a resistance — are usually painful that is when someone obstructs these traffic.
Periarthritis reasons:
The main reasons for a periarthritis — joint injuries, excessive overloads, overcooling.
The humeroscapular periarthritis meets very often. Sooner or later faces this disease to a quarter of all population of the globe. And all are ill — both women, and men. The disease usually after some injury, blow in a shoulder, falling on a shoulder or an outstretched arm develops. Or begins after an excessive exercise stress.
Treatment of the Periarthritis:
Temporary immobilization of a joint imposing of a retentive bandage.
Thermal and physiotherapeutic procedures.
Ketarolo 1 ampoule a day, inside myshechno, NPVS, rest.
Roentgenotherapy.
