Hepatatrophia

Description:

The hepatatrophia acute or subacute - pathological process in a liver, develops at a big necrosis of tissue of liver.

Hepatatrophia symptoms:

Most often this state arises at epidemic hepatitis. In the beginning can proceed rather easily and even almost asymptomatically. However there can suddenly occur deterioration with quickly accruing jaundice, changes of a nervous system, strengthening of bleeding, emergence of a peculiar smell from a mouth, sometimes fever, abdominal pains. The liver can quickly decrease. At development of a hepatic coma of the patient becomes disoriented, there is a nonsense, hallucinations, then a loss of consciousness. Sometimes ascites and hypostases develop. In blood the content of bilirubin, аминотрансфераэ sharply increases, the level of cholesterol decreases. The disease can letalno end quickly, in case of successful treatment within several weeks there is a gradual improvement of all indicators.

Hepatatrophia reasons:

The hepatatrophia develops at an acute viral hepatitis, intoxications are more rare (poisoning with compounds of phosphorus, etc.). In development of an acute necrosis immune disturbances are of great importance.

Treatment of the Hepatatrophia:

Treatment consists in introduction of enough liquid: 5% glucose solution in/in not less than 2 l a day. Along with glucose enter up to 20 — 30 PIECES of insulin, group B vitamins, ascorbic acid. Administration of Prednisolonum or a hydrocortisone is important. The dose of these drugs can fluctuate, depend on weight of the general condition of the patient.
