Hlorgeksidin

General characteristics. Structure:

One suppository weighing 1,5 g contains:
Active agent: a hlorgeksidina биглюконат – 8 mg (a hlorgeksidina биглюконат use in the form of solution (concentration of 20%)).
Excipients: a macrogoal-1500 (polyethyleneglycol 1500) – 1311,7 mg, a macrogoal-400 (polyethyleneglycol 400) – 116,6 mg, a macrogoal-4000 (polyethyleneglycol 4000) – 29,1 mg.

One suppository weighing 2,9 g contains:
Active agent: a hlorgeksidina биглюконат – 16 mg (a hlorgeksidina биглюконат use in the form of solution (concentration of 20%)).
Excipients: a macrogoal-1500 (polyethyleneglycol 1500) – 2533,3 mg, a macrogoal-400 (polyethyleneglycol 400) – 225,2 mg, a macrogoal-4000 (polyethyleneglycol 4000) – 56,3 mg.

Description: suppositories of color, white or white with a yellowish shade, torpedo-shaped form. The surface mramornost is allowed.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Hlorgeksidin is antiseptic drug for topical administration, is active concerning the elementary, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, viruses, including Treponema pallidum, Chlamidia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis, Herpes-virus. To slabochuvstvitelna drug some strains of Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp., and also acid resisting forms of bacteria, disputes of bacteria, mushrooms are steady. Hlorgeksidin does not break functional activity of lactobacilli. Keeps the activity though which is a little lowered in the presence of blood, pus and other biological liquids.

Pharmacokinetics. At intravaginalny use it is practically not soaked up, has no systemic action.

Indications to use:

– treatment of vaginit (including acute nonspecific, mixed, mecotic);
– prevention of infectious and inflammatory complications in obstetrics and gynecology (before operational treatment of gynecologic diseases, before childbirth and abortion, before installation of an intrauterine spiral (Naval Forces), before and after diathermocoagulation of a neck of uterus, before intrauterine researches);
– prevention of infections, sexually transmitted (clamidiosis, ureaplasmosis, genital herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis).

Route of administration and doses:

Intravaginalno. Before use suppository is exempted from planimetric packaging.
For treatment: on 1 suppository 2 times a day, within 7 – 10 days.
For prevention of infections, sexually transmitted: 1 suppository no later than 2 hours after the unprotected sexual intercourse.
Precautionary measures at use
The toilet of external genitals does not influence efficiency and portability of suppositories since drug is used intravaginalno.
Hlorgeksidin keeps the activity though which is a little lowered in the presence of blood, pus and other biological liquids.
Symptoms of overdose, measure for assistance at overdose
Now about cases of overdose it was not reported.

Features of use:

Inclusion in time of pregnancy and in the period of a lactation is possible.
Influence of medicine for a medical use on ability to manage vehicles and mechanisms
Use of drug does not exert impact on control of vehicles and occupations other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

The allergic reactions, itch undergoing later drug withdrawals are possible.
