Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Thiamini chloridum – synthetic drug of B1 vitamin, belongs to water-soluble vitamins. In a human body as a result of processes of phosphorylation turns into cocarboxylase which is a coenzyme of many fermental reactions. B1 vitamin plays an important role in carbohydrate, proteinaceous and a lipometabolism, and also in processes of carrying out nervous excitement in synapses.

Pharmacokinetics. Drug at parenteral administration quickly comes to blood, is more or less evenly distributed between bodies and fabrics. Phosphorylation happens in a liver. Collects, in a liver, heart, a brain, kidneys, a spleen. About 8-10% - in not changed look are allocated with a liver and kidneys.

Indications to use:

Thiamini chloridum is applied to treatment hypo - and B1 avitaminosis, to therapy of neuritis, polyneurites, radiculitis, neuralgia, flaccid paralyzes, encephalopathies, a neurasthenia, a round ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut, an atony of intestines, diseases of a liver, dystrophy of a myocardium, spasms of peripheral vessels (an endarteritis, etc.), a dermatosis of a neurogenic origin, at an itch of skin, a pyoderma, eczema, psoriasis.

Route of administration and doses:

Solution of Thiamini chloridum is entered intramusculary; the adult - on 0,05 g (1 ml of 5% of solution), once a day, daily; to children - on 0,0125 g (0,25 ml of 5% of solution). On a course of treatment - 10-30 injections.

Features of use:

The injection form of drug needs to be applied at treatment at patients with disturbances of absorption in intestines, and also at severe forms of a disease or from an initiation of treatment to more bystry achievement of therapeutic effect. It is recommended to begin parenteral administration of Thiamini chloridum with small doses (no more than 0,5 ml of 5% of solution), and only at good tolerance enter higher doses.
At intramuscular introduction the drug should be administered deeply in a muscle, at intravenous – slowly.
Hypodermic, and sometimes and intramuscular injections are painful because of a low rn of solutions.
At women during the climacteric and premenopausal periods, and also at alcoholics strengthening of symptoms of side effect of drug is possible.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (skin itch, small tortoiseshell, Quincke's edema), acute anaphylaxis are possible. The specified reactions arise at tendency to an allergy, at women in the climacteric and premenopausal periods, at alcoholics.

Interaction with other medicines:

Solution of Thiamini chloridum should not be mixed with the solutions containing sulfites since in them it completely breaks up. Simultaneous parenteral administration of Thiamini chloridum with B6 vitamin (pyridoxine) and B12 vitamin is not recommended (cyanocobalamine) as respectively the first strengthens allergenic effect of thiamin, and the second slows down transformation it in fosforilirovanny biologically active form.
It is not necessary to mix in one syringe Thiamini chloridum with penicillin or streptomycin (there is a destruction of an antibiotic), and also Thiamini chloridum and niacin (there is a thiamin destruction).
Prolonged treatment by anticonvulsant drugs (phenobarbital, Phenytoinum, carbamazepine), and also can result combined use of drug with digoxin, indometacin, antiacid drugs in deficit of thiamin. Thiosemicarbazone also 5-ftoruranit inhibit activity of B1 vitamin. Use of caffeine, the drugs containing sulfur and estrogen increases the need for thiamin. Thiamin weakens kurarepodobny action of the depolarizing muscular relaxants (Dithylinum, etc.).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, allergic diseases, idiosyncrasy, idiopathic hypertensia. With care to appoint at a hyperexcitability of a nervous system, a peptic ulcer of a duodenum (hyperacid forms).

Overdose:

At overdose strengthening of symptoms of side effect of drug is possible. At use in high doses a long time hyper thyroidism signs can appear: headache, excitement, tremor, increase in pulse rate, sleeplessness. Treatment: to stop administration of drug; treatment - symptomatic.

Storage conditions:
