Rinomaris

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 0,005 g or 0,01 g of xylomethazolinum of a hydrochloride in 10 ml of solution.

Excipients: water of the Adriatic Sea, potassium дегидрофосфат, the water purified.

Nasal spray Rinomaris – new drug of the company Yadran created on the basis of xylomethazolinum and sea water. Combines effects of a topical vasoconstrictor and active microelements of natural water of the Adriatic Sea. Thanks to this combination Rinomaris quickly eliminates swelled mucous a nose and removes a congestion, for a long time facilitating nasal breath, at the same time recovering a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx and protecting it from dryness and irritation.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Rinomaris-drug for intranasal use. Xylomethazolinum possesses alpha адреномиметическим action: causes narrowing of blood vessels of a mucous membrane of a nose, eliminating, thus, hypostasis and a hyperemia of a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx. Facilitates nasal breath at rhinitises. In therapeutic concentration does not irritate mucous, does not cause a hyperemia. Action comes in a few minutes after use and continues within 12 hours.

The sterilized sea water which is a part of drug Rinomaris promotes maintenance of a normal physiological condition of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity, fluidifying of slime and normalization of its development in scyphoid cells of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity.

Microelements improve function of a ciliary epithelium that allows to reduce side local reactions such as irritation and/or dryness of a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration it is practically not absorbed, concentration in plasma are so small that they cannot be determined by modern analytical methods.

Indications to use:

- acute respiratory diseases with the phenomena of rhinitis (cold);

- allergic rhinitis (pollinosis);

- sinusitis;

- eustachitis;

- average otitis (for reduction of hypostasis of a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx);

- training of the patient for diagnostic manipulations in the nasal courses.

Route of administration and doses:

Rinomaris, spray of nasal, 0,05%. Children from 2 to 6 years on 1 injection in each nostril 1-2 times a day; children are more senior than 6 years on 1 injection in each nostril 2-3 times a day.

Rinomaris, spray of nasal, 0,1%. Children are more senior than 6 years and adults on 1 injection in each nostril 2-3 times a day. It is not necessary to use drug more often than 4 times a day, duration of a course of 5-7 days.

Features of use:

Before use it is necessary to clear the nasal courses.

Rinomaris it is not necessary to apply for a long time, for example, at chronic rhinitises.

Pregnancy and lactation. At pregnancy and in the period of a lactation drug should be used only after careful assessment of a ratio of risk and advantage for mother and a fruit, exceeding of the recommended doses is not allowed.

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms. Xylomethazolinum in the doses exceeding recommended can influence ability to manage vehicles or the equipment

Side effects:

At frequent and/or prolonged use – irritation and/or dryness of a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx, burning, a pricking, sneezing, hypersecretion, a rhinedema.

Heart consciousness, tachycardia, arrhythmias, increase in the ABP, headache, vomiting, sleeplessness, vision disorder; at prolonged use in high doses – a depression.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is incompatible with MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.

Contraindications:

Arterial hypertension, tachycardia, the expressed atherosclerosis, glaucoma, atrophic rhinitis, thyrotoxicosis, surgical interventions on a meninx (in the anamnesis), children's age up to 6 years (for 0,1% of solution) and up to 2 years (for 0,05% of solution), hypersensitivity to drug components.

Sostorozhnost apply at a diabetes mellitus, stenocardia (ischemic heart disease).

Overdose:

Symptoms: strengthening of side effects.

Treatment: performing symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity: 2 years. Not to apply after the period of validity specified on packaging.

Spray of nasal 0,05% and 0,1%. On 10 ml of drug in the plastic bottle supplied with the raspylitelny device and a protective cover from propylene. On one bottle with the application instruction place in a cardboard pack.
