General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: oxymetazoline hydrochloride of 0,05 g

Description. Transparent solution, colourless or colourless with a yellowish shade, with a characteristic smell, without visible inclusions.

Pharmacological properties:

Indications to use:

For simplification of nasal breath at "catarrhal" diseases or viral upper respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, rhinitis of any etiology.

Route of administration and doses:

Intranazalno. To adults and children 10 years - on 1-2 injections in each nasal course at most 2-3 times a day are more senior.
Children are from 6 to 10 years old - on 1 injection in each nasal course at most 2-3 times a day.
Treatment duration:
More than 7 days are not recommended to use drug. At frequent or long use of drug the feeling of difficulty of nasal breath can appear again or worsen. At emergence of these symptoms it is necessary to stop treatment and to see a doctor.
At injection not to throw back the head back and not to spray in a prone position.

Features of use:

In the recommended dose without consultation with the doctor to use no more than 7 days.

Side effects:

Sometimes burning or dryness of mucous membranes of a nose, dryness in an oral cavity and a throat, sneezing, increase in volume of the secret which is allocated from a nose. In rare instances - after there passes the effect of drug use, strong feeling of "congestion" of a nose (reactive hyperemia).
The side effects caused by systemic action of drug: increase in arterial pressure, a headache, dizziness, strong heartbeat, tachycardia, the increased uneasiness, sedation, irritability, sleep disorders (at children), nausea, sleeplessness, a dieback, a vision disorder (at hit in eyes).
Preservative a benzalkoniya the chloride which is a part of drug can be the cause of puffiness of a mucous membrane of a nose. If it occurred, it is necessary to change the drug on another which is not containing preservatives.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with MAO inhibitors (including the period within 14 days after their cancellation) and tricyclic antidepressants increase in arterial pressure can be observed. Drug slows down absorption of mestnoanesteziruyushchy drugs, extends their action. Joint purpose of other vasoconstrictive drugs increases risk of development of side effects.

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to drug components;
• atrophic (dry) rhinitis;
• reception of inhibitors of a monoaminooxidase (MAO) within the previous 2 weeks and within 2 weeks after their cancellation;
• closed-angle glaucoma;
• a state after a transsphenoidal hypophysectomy;
• children's age up to 6 years;
• pregnancy;
• lactation period.
With care it is necessary to use drug at the patients having diseases of cardiovascular system (arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic heart failure, tachycardia, arrhythmias), disturbance of carbohydrate metabolism (diabetes mellitus), functions of a thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism), a pheochromocytoma, a chronic renal failure, a prostate hyperplasia (ischuria) and, accepting tricyclic antidepressants and Bromocriptinum.

Overdose:

Symptoms: nausea, increase in arterial pressure, tachycardia, oppression of TsNS.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use after a period of validity.
