Pancreatinum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: Pancreatinum of 100 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug which effect is caused by the components which are its part. Has proteolytic, amylolytic and lipolytic effect. Has a protective cover which is not dissolved before hit in a small intestine that protects enzymes from the destroying action of a gastric juice. Promotes bystry and full digestion of food, eliminates the symptoms arising owing to digestion disturbance (feeling of weight and overflow of a stomach, a meteorism, feeling of shortage of air, the asthma caused by accumulation of gases in intestines, diarrhea). Improves process of digestion of food at children; stimulates release of own enzymes of a pancreas, stomach and small intestine, and also bile. Extract of bile works holeretichesk, promotes emulsification of fats, increases activity of a lipase, improves absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins A, E, K. Gemitsellyulaza - the enzyme promoting splitting of a cellulose.

Indications to use:

Vneshnesekretorny insufficiency of a pancreas, stomach, intestines, liver, gall bladder (chronic inflammatory and dystrophic diseases of these bodies, a state after a resection or radiation); meteorism, diarrhea of noninfectious genesis; mucoviscidosis.

For improvement of digestion of food at persons with the GIT normal function in case of errors in food (the use of greasy food, a large number of food, irregular food); at disturbances of chewing function (injury of teeth and gums, during accustoming to an artificial jaw); slow-moving way of life; long immobilization.

Preparation for X-ray inspection and ultrasonography of abdominal organs. As auxiliary HP for the fastest digestion of some medicines (PASK, streptocides, antibiotics).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, on 1 dragee (to a tablet with a kishechnorastvorimy cover) 3 times / сут.во time or right after food. Swallow entirely, it is impossible to chew. If necessary the single dose is increased twice. Treatment duration - of several days (at disturbance of digestion owing to errors in food) up to several months and years (in need of continuous replacement therapy).

Before X-ray inspection and ultrasonography - on 2 dragees of 2-3 times/days in 2-3 days prior to a research.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (dermahemia, sneezing, dacryagogue), diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain (including intestinal colic), hyperuricemia, hyper uricosuria.
At children (at reception in high doses) - perianal irritation, irritation of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity.

Interaction with other medicines:

Reduces bioavailability of iron preparations
Increases absorption of PASK, streptocides, antibiotics.
Cimetidinum strengthens effect of drug.
The antacids containing ions of magnesium and/or calcium reduce efficiency of drug.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity; hyperbilirubinemia; acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis (aggravation), hepatitis, liver failure, hepatic coma or prekoma, empyema of a gall bladder, cholelithiasis, mechanical jaundice, intestinal impassability.

With care: mucoviscidosis, pregnancy; children's age (up to 3 years).

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast
With care: pregnancy.

Use at abnormal liver functions
It is contraindicated at hepatitis, a liver failure, a hepatic coma or a prekoma.

Use for children
With care: children's age (up to 3 years).

Overdose:

Symptoms: hyperuricemia and hyperuricuria.
Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place, at a temperature below 25 °C.
To store in the place, unavailable to children.
