General characteristics. Structure:

One suppository contains: as active agent paracetamol — 0,05 g, 0,01 g or 0,25 g; as excipient: витепсол — enough before receiving suppository weighing from 1,19 to 1,31 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Non-narcotic analgesic. Blocks TsOG preferential in TsNS, influencing the centers of pain and thermal control. In the inflamed fabrics cellular peroxidases neutralize influence of paracetamol on TsOG that explains almost total absence of antiinflammatory effect. Lack of the blocking influence on synthesis of Pg in peripheral fabrics causes absence at it negative influence on a water salt metabolism (Na delay + and waters) and mucous a GIT.

Indications to use:

Apply at children from 3 months to 12 years in quality: - an antipyretic at the acute respiratory diseases, flu, children's infections, postvaccinal reactions and other states which are followed by fervescence; - an anesthetic at a pain syndrome of weak and moderate intensity, including: head and tooth hurt, muscle pains, neuralgia, pain at injuries and burns. At children from 1 to 3 months the single dose of drug for decrease in temperature after vaccination is possible, use of drug according to all indications is possible only on doctor's orders.

Route of administration and doses:

Rektalno. After spontaneous bowel emptying or a cleansing enema, suppository is exempted from a blister strip packaging and entered into a rectum. The dosage of drug is calculated depending on age and body weight, according to the table. The single dose makes 10-15 mg/kg of body weight of the child, 2-3 times a day, in 4-6 hours. The maximum daily dose of paracetamol should not exceed 60 mg/kg of body weight of the child. Age Weight the Single dose 1-3 months of 4 - 6 kg 1 suppository on 0,05 g (50 mg) of 3-12 months of 7 - 10 kg 1 suppository on 0,1 g (100 mg) 1-3 years of 11 - 16 kg 1 - 2 suppository on 0,1 g (100 mg) of 3-10 years of 17 - 30 kg 1 suppository on 0,25 g (250 mg) of 10-12 years of 31 - 35 kg the 2nd suppository on 0,25 g (250 mg) Duration of a course of treatment: 3 days as febrifugal and up to 5 days, as anesthetic. Extension of a course if necessary after consultation with the doctor

Features of use:

At the proceeding feverish syndrome against the background of paracetamol use more than 3 days, and a pain syndrome - more than 5 days, consultation of the doctor is required.

Side effects:

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains. Allergic reactions (a skin itch, rash on skin and mucous membranes, a small tortoiseshell, a Quincke's edema). From bodies of a hemopoiesis - anemia, a leukopenia, an agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia. At prolonged use in high doses – hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic (intersticial nephrite and a papillary necrosis) action, hemolitic anemia, aplastic anemia, a methemoglobinemia, a pancytopenia.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, age - up to 1 month of life. With care of the Abnormal liver function and kidneys, Gilbert's syndrome, the Cudgel Johnson and the Rotor, a disease of system of blood (anemia, thrombocytopenia, a leukopenia), genetic absence glyukozo-6-fosfatdegidrogenazy.
