General characteristics. Structure:
1 tablet contains hydrochloride Ambroxol in terms of 100% substance – 0,03 g; excipients: potato starch, granulak-70, calcium stearate.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. Ambroxol a hydrochloride – the mucolytic means causing bronkhosekretolitichesky, sekretomotorny (expectorant) action. Stimulates formation of surfactant, normalizes the changed bronchopulmonary secretion, improves rheological indicators of a phlegm, reduces its viscosity and adhesive properties, increases mukotsiliarny transport, facilitates removal of a phlegm from bronchial tubes. Drug does not cause excessive formation of a secret, reduces hyperreactivity of bronchial tubes. Being a metabolite of Bromhexine, Ambroxol the hydrochloride is more effective than the last, is non-toxical and is well transferred.
Pharmacokinetics. After intake drug is almost completely absorbed in a digestive tract. The maximum concentration in a blood plasma is reached in 2 hours. Well gets through a placental barrier and stimulates pre-natal synthesis of surfactant in fruit lungs that allows to use it for prevention respiratory a distress syndrome at newborns. Drug is intensively metabolized in a liver. Elimination half-life of 9-10 hours. Drug is removed generally with urine (90%).
Indications to use:
The acute and chronic bronchitis of a different etiology including complicated by bronchiectasias, bronchial asthma, a pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia, inflammatory diseases of a cavity of a nasopharynx. Drug can be used at a syndrome of insufficient breath ("a shock lung"), for prevention and treatment of complications after lung operations, at care of a tracheostoma, before and after a bronkhoskopiya, at a mucoviscidosis.
Route of administration and doses:
Pill is taken after food, washing down with water.
To children 12 years are more senior and the adult appoint according to the scheme: in the first 2–3 days on 1 tablet (30 mg)
3 times a day, then on 1 tablet 2 times a day. Children up to 12 years are recommended to appoint drug in other dosage form. A course of treatment – 4–14 days. Cases of overdose were not observed.
Features of use:
Before use of Ambroxol it is recommended to stop feeding by a breast. During treatment it is recommended to increase the volume of the consumed liquid.
Side effects:
Ambroxol is well transferred, occasionally there is a weakness, a headache, a stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, a diarrhea, a spotty enanthesis.
Interaction with other medicines:
Simultaneous use of Ambroxol with antibiotics: amoxicillin, tsefuroksimy, erythromycin, doxycycline promotes increase in concentration of antibiotics in pulmonary fabric.
Simultaneous use of drug with the medicines having antibechic activity (for example, containing codeine) because of difficulty of removal of a phlegm from bronchial tubes against the background of reduction of cough is not recommended. Use of Ambroxol together with cardiac glycosides, diuretics is possible.
Contraindications:
Peptic ulcer of a stomach and 12-perstny gut, І a pregnancy trimester, hypersensitivity to drug. Convulsive attacks of any etiology.
Overdose:
So far cases of overdose are not described.
Storage conditions:
To store in the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. A period of validity – 3 years. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
