General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 400 mg of albendazole.

Excipients: cellulose microcrystallic, starch corn, magnesium stearate, silicon the dioxide colloid dehydrated talc is purified, essence of the mixed fruit, aspartame, sodium methylparaben, sodium propylparaben, sodium krokhmalglikolit.

Protivogelmintny drug with a broad spectrum of activity.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Albendazole - protivogelmintny (protiglistny) means, active also relatively pathogenic protozoa. Affects intestinal and fabric forms of parasites; active concerning eggs, larvae and adult helminths. Drug also effective at treatment of a neyrotsistetsirkoz that is caused by penetration of larvae of a pork tapeworm into a brain. Albendazol destroys cysts or considerably reduces their sizes at patients with cysts of a granular echinococcus.

Route of administration and doses:

At adults and children of the senior 2 years at an enterobiosis, a dochmiasis, a necatoriasis, an ascaridosis, a trichinellosis drug is used internally on 1 tablet of 1400 mg) 1 time a day. 

At a strongyloidosis, a teniosis and a hymenolepiasis to adults and children 2 years are more senior use drug on 400 mg once for days within 3 days. At the confirmed hymenolepiasis the course of treatment is repeated in three weeks. 

At an opisthorchosis and a clonorchosis to adults and children 2 years drug are more senior appoint 400 mg 2 times a day within 3 days. The specified scheme of treatment provides effective treatment and at the mixed invasion of Op_sthochis viverrini and Chlonorchis sinensis.

At an alveolar echinococcosis at patients weighing more than 60 kg of Vormil apply on 1 tablet 2 times a day during three cycles for 28 days with 14-day breaks between cycles. At patients with the body weight of less than 60 kg Vormil apply in a daily dose 15 mg/kg in two steps (the maximum dose of 800 mg for days). In need of treatment prolong for months and years. 

At the skin migrating larvae (Cutaneous larva migrans) drug is used on 1 tablet within 1-3 days. 

At a neyrotsistetsirkoza at patients weighing more than 60 kg of Vormil apply on 1 tablet 2 times a day within 7-30 days depending on result. To patients weighing less than 60 kg - in a daily dose of 15 mg/kg in two steps { the maximum dose of 800 mg for days). The course of treatment can be repeated in 1-2 weeks. 

At a kapillyaroza to children and adults appoint on 1 tablet daily within 10 days. 

At a gnatostomoza to children and adults appoint on 1 tablet daily within 10-20 days.

Features of use:

During use of drug it is necessary to control activity of liver enzymes by the beginning of each cycle of treatment. If the level of indicators exceeds the upper bound of norm more than twice, use of a vormil needs to be stopped before their full normalization.

In case of need long-term use of drug it is necessary to control quantity of leukocytes at the beginning and each 2 weeks of each 28-day cycle of use. It is possible to continue use of a vormil at reduced quantity of leukocytes if extent of decrease insignificant and a leukopenia does not progress.

Side effects:

From a digestive tract and a liver: stomatitis, dryness in a company, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, an abdominal pain, a meteorism, a bringing, a lock, increase in activity of liver enzymes.

From the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: sleeplessness or drowsiness, a headache, dizziness, confused consciousnesses, a disorientation, hallucinations, spasms, decrease in visual acuity.

From system of a hemopoiesis: leukopenia, pancytopenia.

Allergic reactions: itch, urticaria, pemphigus, dermatitis, fever.
