Rinazal of a drop nasal

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: xylomethazoline;

1 ml of solution contains 0,5 mg or 1 mg of xylomethazolinum of a hydrochloride (in terms of      100% dry matter);

excipients: sodium hydrophosphate, dodecahydrate; sodium dihydrophosphate, dihydrate; sorbite (Е 420); decamethoxynum; dinatrium эдетат; the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Xylomethazolinum is α-adrenomimetiky. When drawing reduces hypostasis by a mucous membrane of a nose, reduces inflow of blood to venous sine, facilitates nasal breath, reduces quantity of separated. The vasoconstrictive effect is shown in a few minutes and proceeds till 6 o'clock. Prolonged use of Rinazala®, more than a week of continuous use, can lead to development of a tachyphylaxis (accustoming) with decrease in therapeutic effect. In therapeutic concentration the drug Rinazal® does not show systemic action.

Indications to use:

Acute rhinitis of a different etiology, sinusitis, eustachitis, as a part of a combination therapy of average otitis – for elimination of hypostasis of a mucous membrane; for simplification of carrying out a rinoskopiya.

Route of administration and doses:

The bottle is protected by opening control. At the first use it is necessary to turn a cap, having separated it from a protective ring.

The bottle has a special configuration thanks to which when pressing on a bottom there is a dosed release of solution by the principle "one pressing – one drop". Hardness of walls of a bottle considerably reduces a possibility of jet release of drug – the frequent reason of overdose of nasal drops.

To adults and children 12 years at acute rhinitises are more senior it is recommended to dig in on 1-2 drops 0,05% or 0,1% of solution 2-3 times a day in each nasal course.

To children from 2 to 6 years – on 1 drop of 0,05% of solution, children 6 years – on 1-2 drop of 0,05% of solution are more senior.

Course of treatment of 3-5 days. In need of continuation of treatment it is necessary to take a break for 2-3 days and then to resume use of Rinazala®.

At a rinoskopiya – 2-4 drops of 0,1% of solution with 1 ml of anesthetic.

Features of use:

The patients applying adrenergic means which have strong reactions which are shown in the form of sleeplessness, dizziness, trembling, cardiac arrhythmia, arterial hypertension need to appoint drug with care.

It is not necessary to exceed the recommended drug dose, especially at treatment of children and elderly people.

It is necessary to appoint with care drug to patients with cardiovascular diseases, patients with arterial hypertension, closed-angle glaucoma, a diabetes mellitus, with diseases of a thyroid gland.

Not to apply longer than 10 days. Prolonged treatment by drug can cause converse effect.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Drug cannot be used during pregnancy and feeding by a breast in connection with vasoconstrictive influence.

Ability to influence the speed of reactions at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Throughout treatment it is necessary to be kept from control of motor transport and occupations by other potentially dangerous types of activity which need the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Children. Contraindications to use are children's age up to 2 years for 0,05% of solution and up to 12 years for 0,1% of solution. To children up to 6 years to apply under control of adults.

Side effects:

At use of Rinazala® development of side reactions from such systems and bodies is possible:

from system of a respiratory organs: dryness, itch, burning sensation, reactive hyperemia, hypersecretion and rhinedema, development of secondary rhinitis.

In some cases at topical intranasal administration systemic sympathomimetic action is noted:

from the central and peripheral nervous system: headache, increased fatigue, dizziness, sleeplessness; at prolonged use of high doses – a depression;

from cardiovascular system: arrhythmia, tachycardia, increase in arterial pressure;

from digestive tract: nausea, vomiting;

from system of sense bodys: vision disorder;

allergic reactions: suffocation, a Quincke's disease, rash, occasionally – system allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Риназал® it is not applied in combinations and for 14 days after cancellation of MAO inhibitors (monoamine oxidase) as increase in arterial pressure is possible.

Риназал® slows down absorption of means for local anesthesia, strengthens effect of antidepressants.

Contraindications:

Closed-angle glaucoma, intraocular hypertensia; atrophic rhinitis; the increased individual sensitivity to drug components; children's age up to 2 years for 0,05% of solution and up to 12 years for 0,1% of solution; transsphenoidal hypophysectomy, other neurosurgical interventions.

Overdose:

The special configuration of a bottle does improbable accidental overdose of drug. The overdose is possible only at non-compliance with the single doses specified in the instruction and frequencies of use.

The overdose of Rinazala® which, in particular, is possible at an accidental proglatyvaniye of drug is characterized by two-staging: at first the excitement which is replaced by braking of TsNS.

Manifestations of exciting action on TsNS:

from cardiovascular system: tachycardia, arterial hypertension;

from a nervous system: nervousness;

general disturbances: fervescence, the increased perspiration, a tremor, a headache.

Manifestations of brake influence on TsNS:

from cardiovascular system: ischemia of bodies, bradycardia, arrhythmia, cardiac standstill;

from respiratory system: fluid lungs, apnoea;

from a nervous system: drowsiness, sedation;

general disturbances: decrease in body temperature, shock, coma;

changes of skin: cyanosis.

From digestive tract: nausea.

Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 2 years. After opening of a bottle drug is good for use of 28 days. To store in original packaging at a temperature not above 15 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
