General characteristics. Structure:

100 g of ointment contain betamethasone of Dipropionas 0,064 g, salicylic acid of 3 g

Additional substances: medical liquid paraffin, vaseline.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiallergic, keratolytic, antimicrobic drug.
Betamethasone Dipropionas slows down release of interleykin 1 and 2, gamma interferon, inflammation mediators, reduces metabolism of arachidonic acid, induces formation of the lipokortin having antiedematous activity.
Salicylic acid promotes the best penetration of betamethasone Dipropionas in deep structures of skin, has keratolytic and antimicrobic effect.

Pharmacokinetics. At betamethasone dermal absorption Dipropionas is characterized by similar pharmacokinetic properties, both at outside, and at system use. System absorption after external use makes 12 - 14%. It is metabolized in a liver. Metabolites are removed preferential by kidneys, an insignificant part - with bile.

Indications to use:

Subacute and chronic dermatosis with a hyperkeratosis (including pilar sites): psoriasis, acute and chronic eczema, neurodermatitis, red flat deprive, a dyshydrosis, seborrheal dermatitis, an ichthyosis and other ichthyotic defeats, seborrhea of pilar sites of skin.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is applied with a thin layer, slightly rubbing to the area of an affected area 2 times a day.
Duration of treatment is defined by expressiveness of inflammatory process, the termination of an itch, clarification of integuments, but should not exceed 10 days.

Features of use:

With care it is necessary to apply to treatment of children.
Use during pregnancy perhaps in exceptional cases according to strict indications (for the short period and/or on small body surfaces).
In need of use in the period of a lactation breastfeeding should be stopped.
In case of symptoms of hypersensitivity to Betasaliku®-KMP treatment needs to be stopped and carried out the corresponding therapy.
It is necessary to avoid hit of drug in eyes and on mucous membranes.
Existence of inflammatory process, and also use of an occlusive bandage, can increase absorption volume.
It is not necessary to apply outwardly to treatment of primary skin defeats at fungal (for example, candidiasis, a trichophytosis) and bacterial (for example, impetigo) infections, perianal and an itch of generative organs.

Side effects:

Emergence of easy burning, itch, acneform rashes, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation is in certain cases observed. When using ointment under occlusive bandages are possible: maceration of skin, consecutive infections, skin atrophy, heat rash. At prolonged use on the extensive surfaces of skin (especially under occlusive bandages) the side effects caused by a resorption and systemic action of betamethasone Dipropionas are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with cardiac glycosides - strengthening of action of the last; with diuretics - potassium removal increases; with hypoglycemic drugs, peroral anticoagulants - weakening of their action; with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - increase in risk of development of erosive cankers and bleedings from digestive tract.

Overdose:

Symptoms: suppression of pituitary and adrenal function, secondary adrenal insufficiency, manifestations of a hypercorticoidism, including Cushing's syndrome.
Treatment: symptomatic therapy, correction of water and electrolytic disturbances.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 8 °C to 15 °C. A period of validity - 2 years. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
