General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: norfloxacin of 3 mg

Pharmacological properties:

Antibacterial drug from group of ftorkhinolon. Possesses a wide range of bactericidal action. Inhibits DNK-girazu enzyme of bacteria owing to what DNA replication and synthesis of cellular proteins of bacteria is broken.
It is highly active concerning gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Proteus spp. (indolpositive and indolnegative), Morganella morganii, Citrobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Yersinia enterocolitica, Vibrio spp., Campylobacter spp., Hafnia spp., Providencia stuartii, Haemophilus influenzae, Pasteurella multocida, Pseudomonas spp., Gardnerella spp., Legionella pneumophila, Neisseria spp., Moraxella catarrhalis, Acinetobacter spp., Brucella spp., Chlamydia spp.
It is active concerning gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Listeria monocitogenes.

Pharmacokinetics. Researches of pharmacokinetics of drug of Normaks were not conducted in connection with low system absorption.

Indications to use:

Treatment of the acute and chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms, sensitive to drug:
— conjunctivitis (including gonococcal);
— keratitis;
— keratoconjunctivites;
— corneal ulcer;
— blepharites;
— blefarokonjyunktivita;
— trachoma;
— outside otitis;
— acute and chronic average otitis;
— internal otitis;
— infectious eustachitis.

Prevention of eye infections after removal of a foreign body from a cornea or a conjunctiva, after damage by chemical or physical means, before and after surgical interventions.

Prevention of infectious otitises before and after surgical interventions, at ear injuries, the extraction of a foreign body from outside acoustical pass which is followed by damage of tissues of ear.

Route of administration and doses:

Appoint 1-2 drops in the affected eye or an ear of 4 times/days. In need of the first day of use the dose can be increased to 1-2 drops in each 2 h. After disappearance of symptoms of a disease use of drug should be continued during the subsequent 48 h.

At acute and chronic trachoma appoint 2 drops in each eye of 2-4 times/days within 1-2 months.

Before an instillation it is necessary to carry out sanitation of outside acoustical pass to an ear of drops of Normaks. Drops have to have body temperature. The patient has to lay down on one side or throw back the head to facilitate an instillation. After an instillation it is necessary to allow to drops to flow down in acoustical pass, having delayed an ear lobe down and back. The head should be held in the specified provision about 2 min. It is possible to place a wadded turunda in outside acoustical pass.

Features of use:

Нормакс it is intended only for topical administration.

It is necessary to apply to achievement of the best medical effect of a drop in combination with system antimicrobic therapy (except for mild cases).

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms
Within 30 min. after a drug instillation in eyes it is necessary to abstain from occupations potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: nausea, heartburn, anorexia, diarrhea, abdominal pains.
From TsNS: headache, dizziness, feeling of fatigue, frustration of a dream, irritability, feeling of alarm.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itch, Quincke's edema.

Pharmaceutical interaction
Solution of norfloxacin is incompatible with the medicines important рН 3-4 which physically or are chemically unstable.

Contraindications:

— hypersensitivity to a norfloksaktsin and other drugs of a hinolonovy row.
Purpose of drug at pregnancy, in the period of a lactation, and also to children and teenagers aged up to 18 years is not recommended.

Overdose:

Possible symptoms at accidental reception of drops inside: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, feeling of alarm.

Treatment: if necessary carry out symptomatic therapy; it is necessary to provide sufficient intake of liquid in an organism, creation of acid reaction of urine for prevention of a crystalluria.

Storage conditions:
