BIFIDUMBAKTERIN-BIOFARMA

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient – Bifidumbakterin-Biofarma is a microbic mass of live bifidobacteria of strains of Bifidobacterium bifidum No. 1 or No. 791, or LVA-3 which is lyophilicly dried up; one dose of drug contains ^5·107 bifidobacteria; one capsule contains 5 doses of drug;

excipients – sugar milk or lactose, magnesium stearate.

Main properties: drug represents the microbic mass of live bifidobacteria of strains of Bifidobacterium bifidum No. 1 or No. 791, or LVA-3 which is lyophilicly dried up; solid gelatin capsules of a cylindrical form with the hemispherical ends; capsule contents - powder of beige color of different shades.

Pharmacological properties:

The therapeutic effect of drug is defined by the bifidobacteria having antagonistic activity in relation to a wide range of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms. Administration of drug provides dominance bifidoflor in a mikrobiotsinoza, thereby contributes to normalization of activity of digestive tract, improvement of exchange processes, the prevention of development of long forms of intestinal diseases, increase in nonspecific resistance of an organism.

Indications to use:

It is intended for treatment of children and adults:
 
- at long intestinal dysfunction of an unspecified etiology;
 
- at intestinal dysfunction (in a consequence of the intestinal dysbiosis connected with long antibacterial, hormonal, beam and other types of therapy with stressful situations and stay in extreme conditions);
 
- at acute intestinal infection (dysentery, salmonellosis, эшерихиоз, viral diarrhea, etc. in complex treatment);
 
- at pneumonia, sepsis and others it is purulent - infectious diseases (for the purpose of the prevention of disorder of function of intestines and development of an ulcer and necrotic coloenteritis);
 
- at acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of a large and small intestine (colitis, coloenterites) proceeding against the background of deficit or absence bifidoflor.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is used inside in 30 min. prior to food.

With the medical purpose adults accept on 1 capsule 3 times a day, children (4 – 5 years and are more senior) - on 1 capsule 1 - 2 times a day.
 
Duration of treatment is defined by weight of clinical displays of a disease and age of the patient, can make from 2 – 4 weeks to 3 months. At a recurrence repeated courses of treatment are reasonable. In these cases before purpose of drug the repeated research of microflora is necessary.
 
With the preventive purpose (in cases of stressful situations, stays in extreme conditions, other) drug is accepted within 1 – 2 weeks in doses: adults – on 1 capsule 1-2 times a day, children – on 1 capsule a day.

Features of use:

It is better to appoint drug after an antibioticotherapia course. At a severe disease, the ogd cannot be interrupted an antibioticotherapia course, drug is appointed along with antibiotics or other means of the directed action.

Side effects:

It is not established.

Interaction with other medicines:

The therapeutic effect of administration of drug somewhat decreases at simultaneous use of antibiotics.

Are not established.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 2 °C to 8 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
