BIFIDUMBACTERIUM suppositories

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: ^{not less than 107} live bifidobacteria;

excipients: a suppozitorny basis - solid fat, sodium chloride, water.

Main properties: drug represents the microbic mass of live bifidobacteria of Bifidobacterium bifidum 1.791 or LVA-3 which is lyophilicly dried up in the environment of cultivation with addition of the sakharozo-zhelatino-milk environment and created in suppository of a cone-shaped or cylindrical form, from color, white to white with a yellow or cream shade, with a specific smell. Heterogeneity of color, an impregnation is allowed.

Pharmacological properties:

Living microbic cells of bifidobacteria have high antagonistic activity in relation to pathogenic and opportunistic microbes (including staphylococcus, proteas, enteropathogenic colibacillus, shigellas, drozhzhepodobny mushrooms) that causes a possibility of their adjusting action on a condition of a bakteriotsenoz of intestines. Replacement of pathogenic and opportunistic microflora promotes recovery normoflor.

Indications to use:

At intestinal diseases.

At adults:

- shigellosis;

- salmonellosis and other acute intestinal infections;

- chronic colitis of various etiology, with the expressed pathological processes in distal departments of intestines;

- дисбиоз various etiology;

- an aftercare of acute intestinal infections in the presence of intestines dysfunction;

At children:

- дисбиоз intestines;

- when performing antibacterial therapy for the purpose of the prevention of development of a disbioz of intestines.

 

At gynecologic diseases:

- the nonspecific colpitises (which are not connected with gonococcal, mecotic and other specific infection); appoint as independent drug or in complex treatment after the termination of a course of antibacterial therapy:

- дисбиоз vaginas, including bacterial vaginosis (bacterial vaginosis); appoint as independent drug or in a complex with immunobiological drugs;

- subacute and chronic stages of inflammatory processes of a female genital; appoint after the termination of a course of an antibioticotherapia for the purpose of normalization of microflora;

- hormonal dependent colpitises, hydrocianic and others; appoint as independent drug against the background of specific hormonal therapy;

- preparation for planned gynecologic operations with the purpose of prevention of postoperative infectious complications;

- prenatal training of pregnant women of risk group concerning development of inflammatory diseases for the purpose of prevention and treatment of a disbioz of a vagina;

- as drug of the accompanying therapy at treatment of urogenital infections and other diseases which are transmitted sexually: gonorrhoeas, urogenital clamidiosis, urogenital herpes, etc. Drug is appointed for recovery of normal microflora in a combination and after the specific antimicrobic, antiviral immunomodelling therapy. The combination of use of suppositories and peroral forms of bifidumbacterium is recommended.

Route of administration and doses:

Intestinal diseases at adults:

- at shigelloses, salmonellosises and other acute intestinal infections drug is appointed rektalno by 3 times a day on 1 suppository after defecation with an interval of 8 hours. Duration of a course of treatment makes 7-10 days. If necessary the course can be prolonged up to 15-30 days.

- at chronic colitis of various etiology, with the expressed pathological processes in distal departments of intestines; disbioza of various etiology; an aftercare of acute intestinal infections in the presence of intestines dysfunction: drug is appointed rektalno on 1-2 suppositories by 3 times a day.

Duration of an average course of treatment after acute intestinal infections makes 15-30 days.

Intestinal diseases at children:

To children aged since 3 years drug is appointed rektalno on 1 suppository by 3 times a day.

The average course of treatment makes 7-10 days, at intestines disbioza – 15-30 days. The course of treatment can be repeated in 10-20 days. When performing antibacterial therapy drug is appointed on 1 suppository by 3 times a day throughout a course of antibacterial therapy, if necessary priyy drug continue up to 15-30 days. Treatment is combined using peroral forms of bifidumbacterium on 5 doses by 1-2 times a day in 20-30 minutes prior to food.

In gynecologic practice:

For treatment of nonspecific colpitises, disbioz of a vagina, hormonal dependent colpitises: hydrocianic and others; drug is appointed vaginalno on 1 suppository by 2 times a day for 5-10 days.

At disturbance of purity of a vaginal secret at pregnant women to the III-IV degree drug is appointed on 1 suppository by 1-2 times to days for 5-10 days under control of recovery of purity of a vaginal secret to the I-II degree and disappearance of clinical symptoms.

For the purpose of prevention it is purulent - septic complications at planned gynecologic operations appoint on 1 suppository 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days before the planned operation or childbirth.

Features of use:

Use of Bifidumbacterium can be combined with simultaneous use of antibacterial, antiviral and immunomodulatory drugs.

Side effects:

Does not cause side reactions.

Contraindications:

Contraindications to use of drug are absent.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 2 °C to 8 °C.
