Boycheva osteotomy (B. Boychev, Bulgarian orthopedist-traumatologist, 1902-1971; Greek osteon – a bone + tomz – a section, a section) – the chrezvertelny osteotomy of a femur applied at congenital dislocation of a hip at which cut a big spit extend a hip by means of a ladder section of trochanterian area with further fixing of the dissected-away big spit to an outside surface of a proximal metaphysis of a femur, distalny the former place.
