Fosfalyugel

Fosfalyugel is the antiacid drug having also enveloping and adsorbing effect.

Active ingredient – aluminum phosphate is a part of drug. Fosfalyugel neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in a stomach, and also reduces activity of pepsin. Within 10 minutes drug reduces acidity to level 3,5-5. At the same time the antiacid effect of Fosfalyugel is not connected with alkalization of a gastric juice, there is no secondary hypersecretion of HCl.

Drug is not capable to be absorbed in a GIT. Thanks to the adsorbing action at Fosfalyugel's use from a GIT bacteria, gases, toxins, viruses are removed. Also normalization of a passage of contents of a GIT at Fosfalyugel's reception is characteristic.

Indications to Fosfalyugel's use

Contraindications to Fosfalyugel's use

• hypersensitivity to components;
• chronic renal failure;
• Alzheimer's disease;
• hypophosphatemia.

Side effect

Route of administration, dosage

Fosfalyugel is intended for oral administration. Drug can be used in pure form or to part in water.

One-time dosage of Fosfalyugel – 1-2 bags (1 bag contains 8,8g active ingredient). Frequency rate of reception – two-three times a day. In case of poisonings, burns with the caustic HP the dosage makes 3-5 bags at one time.

At a reflux esophagitis, a GIT canker Fosfalyugel is accepted before going to bed or in two hours after meal, at a pain syndrome – immediately. At phrenic hernia it is recommended to accept drug right after food, and also before going to bed, at a coloenteritis – before meal twice a day, at colopathies – before a breakfast and before going to bed.

Duration of therapy by Fosfalyugel is determined by the doctor proceeding from disease symptoms.

According to indications Fosfalyugel can be applied in pediatrics in such dosages: aged up to 6 months – 4 g or a teaspoon after each feeding (6 times); after 6 months – 8 g or 2 teaspoons after each feeding (4 times).

Fosfalyugel is capable to reduce or slow down absorption of indometacin, digoxin, salicylates, Phenytoinum, Chlorpromazinum, antihistaminic drugs, a diflunizal, beta adrenoblockers, an isoniazid, azithromycin, tetracyclines, a tsefpodoksim, rifampicin, barbiturates, indirect anticoagulants, ursodezoksikholevy and chenodesoxycholic acids, a lansoprazol, Penicillaminum. M extend holinoblokator and strengthen Fosfalyugel's action and analogs.

Special instructions

In need of prolonged use of Fosfalyugel it is necessary to provide the sufficient level of intake of phosphates in an organism.

At not specified diagnosis prolonged use of Fosfalyugel is not recommended.

According to indications Fosfalyugel can be appointed to patients with a diabetes mellitus as sugar is not a part of drug.

It is possible to appoint Fosfalyugel together with Cimetidinum, Disopyramidum, ketoprofen, amoxicillin, Prednisolonum.

Fosfalyugel's reception does not influence data of X-ray inspection.
