Solution for injections: transparent, with a weak yellowish shade or colourless (in dark glass ampoules on 5 ml, on 5 ampoules in plastic pallets, on 2 pallets in a cardboard pack, or on 10 ampoules in plastic pallets, on 1 pallet in a cardboard pack);
Tablets: round, biconvex, almost white or white color, on one of the parties – risk, on another – an engraving of the name of drug (on 10 pieces in blisters, on 1 or 3 blisters in a cardboard pack).

Is a part of 1 ml of injection solution:

Active agent: метадоксин (L-2 pyridoxine пирролидон 5 carboxyarmour) – 60 mg;
Auxiliary components: sodium metabisulphite, methylparahydroxybenzoate, эдетат sodium, water for injections.

Is a part of 1 tablet:

Active agent: метадоксин (L-2 pyridoxine пирролидон 5 carboxyarmour) – 500 mg;
Auxiliary components: microcrystallic cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Indications to use

Alcoholism;
Acute drunkenness;
Alcoholic abstinence syndrome;
Liver diseases, in particular an alcoholic etiology (along with other drugs).

Contraindications

Pregnancy and period of a lactation;
Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Metadoksil patients should apply with care with Parkinson's disease at simultaneous use of a levodopa (because of decrease in its efficiency).

Route of administration and dosage

The mode of dosing of Metadoksil is defined by indications:

Acute drunkenness (depending on its expressiveness): 5-10 ml (300-600 mg) intramusculary or 5-15 ml (300-900 mg) intravenously (at intravenous use the single dose is entered kapelno for 90 minutes after cultivation into 500 ml of 5% of solution of glucose (dextrose) or isotonic solution of sodium chloride);
Diseases of a liver and an alcoholism (along with other medicines): 2 times a day on 1 tablet (it is more preferable – in 15-30 minutes prior to meal); in case of need frequency rate of administration of drug is increased to 3 times a day. Therapy duration – is not less than 90 days;
Alcoholic abstinence syndrome: once a day on 15 ml (900 mg) intravenously in the form of infusion; depending on a condition of the patient duration of treatment makes 3-7 days.

Side effects

During therapy the side effects which are expressed as allergic reactions can develop.

At patients with bronchial asthma at use of injection solution development of a bronchospasm is possible.

Special instructions

Sodium metabisulphite because of what at the patients predisposed to asthmatic attacks strengthening of attacks of asthma or development of allergic reactions can be observed is a part of injection solution.

Medicinal interaction

At simultaneous use of Metadoksil with a levodopa efficiency of the last decreases.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
