Arnold-Kiari syndrome

Arnold-Kiari syndrome (German pathologist of J. Arnold, 1835-1915; the Austrian pathologist N. of Chiari, 1851-1916) – a combination of a nystagmus, an ataxy, paralyzes of cranial nerves to epileptiform spasms; it is caused by the inborn shift of a brain in the caudal direction with its infringement in a big occipital opening.
