Antipyrine

Antipyrine – febrifugal, analgeziruyushchy and antiinflammatory drug from group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NPVS).

Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in the form of powder for preparation of solution and tablets for intake by a dosage of 0,1 g and 0,25 g on 10 pieces in packaging.

Indications to use

Medicine renders febrifugal, analgeziruyushchy, antiinflammatory, and also haemo static (at topical administration) action.

According to the instruction, Antipyrine is applied at neuralgia, catarrhal diseases, in complex therapy of rheumatism, diseases of joints with a pain syndrome, feverish states. Locally drug is used at nasal bleedings.

Contraindications

Use of Antipyrine has the following contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to medicine components;
  • Heavy renal and liver failure, and also the progressing diseases of a liver and kidneys;
  • Pregnancy in the III trimester;
  • Hyperpotassemia;
  • Ulcer and inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases;
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding.

With care drug is used at the following diseases:

  • Diabetes mellitus;
  • Cerebrovascular diseases;
  • Coronary heart disease;
  • Heart failure in a chronic form;
  • Lipidemia;
  • Dislipidemiya;
  • Diseases of peripheral arteries;
  • Heavy somatopathies;
  • Alcoholism, tobacco smoking.

Route of administration and dosage

According to the instruction, Antipyrine in the form of tablets is accepted inside: adults - on 0,25-0,5 g; children are more senior than half a year – on 0,025-0,15 g 2-3 times a day. The maximum single dose for adults makes 1 g, daily – 3 g.

For a stop of nasal bleedings use 10-20% solution of drug which moistens napkins or tampons.

Side effects

Use of Antipyrine can cause allergic reactions in the form of a small tortoiseshell.

Special instructions

At joint reception drugs with miyelotoksichny effect strengthen the Antipyrine gematotoksichnost.
