Капли глазные и ушные Дексона Dexonum – the combined means for topical administration in otolaryngology and ophthalmology, antiinflammatory and antibacterial action.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form: solution drop eye and ear (on 5 ml in bottles of dark glass complete with a dropper, in a cardboard pack 1 set).

The maintenance of the operating components in 1 ml:

Neomycinum sulfate – 5 mg;
Sodium dexamethasone phosphate – 1 mg.

Excipients: dinatrium гидрогенфосфат, a benzalkoniya chloride (preservative), disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid, creatinine, sodium chloride, propylene glycol, sodium metabisulphite, water for injections.

Indications to use

Chronic and acute form of a bacterial blepharitis, conjunctivitis, iridocyclitis, keratitis (at absence of damage of an epithelium);
Prevention of an inflammation of front department of an eye after surgical intervention;
Acute and chronic outside otitis;
Allergic and infectious pathologies of an outside ear.

Contraindications

Chicken pox;
The keratitis caused by the Herpes simplex or Varicella zoster virus (a treelike keratitis);
Mikobakterialny infections of eyes;
Diseases of a conjunctiva and cornea of a virus etiology;
Fungal pathologies of eyes;
Use after removal without complications of a foreign subject from a cornea;
Breastfeeding period;
Children's age;
Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Route of administration and dosage

Drug dosing for treatment of moderately expressed or slight infectious disease of eyes – on 1-2 drops in a conjunctival sac to dig in every 4-6 hours. In case of a severe form of infectious process of instillation it is recommended to spend each hour, the interval between instillations is increased in process of reduction of the inflammatory phenomenon.

Dosing at treatment of diseases of an ear – on 3-4 drops is dug in by 2-4 times a day.

Side effects

Use Dexonums is capable to cause side effects which reason can be an antibiotic or a glucocorticosteroid (GKS), and also their combination.

Development of allergic reactions: often – in the form of a swelling a century, an itch, reddening of a conjunctiva (it is caused by action of Neomycinum).

From an organ of sight: perhaps – delay of process of healing of wounds, increase in intraocular pressure with possible risk of development of glaucoma against the background of which there is a characteristic damage of an optic nerve and a field of vision formation of a back subkapsulyarny cataract (it is caused by effect of dexamethasone).

Use of drops at treatment of the pathologies promoting thinning of a sclera or cornea can cause a perforation of a fibrous cover of an eye.

The combined means (an antibiotic with GKS) can become the reason of development of consecutive infection as consequences of suppression by an antibiotic of protective function of an organism of the patient. At treatment of acute purulent infections of an eye presence at structure of GKS can hide or strengthen inflammatory process.

Prolonged use of the drops containing GKS can cause damage to a cornea a fungus. Emergence of not healing ulcers demonstrates development of a fungal invasion.

Special instructions

Solution drop of Dexonum is not intended for injections.

Use during pregnancy is allowed only if the expected advantage for mother prevails over potential risk for a fruit.

Simultaneous use of drug with system reception of aminoglikozidny antibiotics needs to be carried out under control of level of content of drug in blood serum.

In case of need drug uses should be measured more than 10 days in a row regularly intraocular pressure.

It is impossible to use contact lenses during treatment of eye pathologies.

To avoid bacterial pollution of contents of a bottle, it is necessary to avoid contact of a pipette with any surface.

Cancerogenic and mutagen activity of drug was not investigated.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the unavailable to children, protected from light place at a temperature up to 25 °C, not to freeze.

Period of validity – 3 years.

Period of validity after opening of a bottle – 1 month.
