Hemomitsin – an azalead, an antibiotic from group of macroleads.

Structure and form of release of Hemomitsin

Hemomitsin release in three dosage forms:

• The solid gelatin capsules of light blue color containing 250 mg of azithromycin. Additional components: corn starch, magnesium stearate, anhydrous lactose, sodium lauryl sulfate. On 6 capsules in the blister.
• The round, biconvex tablets covered with a caesious cover, containing 500 mg of azithromycin. Additional components: povidone, talc, microcrystallic cellulose, colloid silicon dioxide, sodium carboxymethylstarch, magnesium stearate. On 3 tablets in blisters.
• The white powder for preparation of the suspension intended for intake containing 100 or 200 mg of azithromycin. Additional components: anhydrous sodium phosphate, fragrance, sorbitol, sodium saccharinate, gum xanthane, potassium carbonate, colloid silicon dioxide. In bottles with the doser.

Hemomitsin's analogs are the following medicines: Azivok, Azitrox, Azitral, Azitromitsin, Azimitsin, Azitrus, Azitsid, Zetamaks Retard, ZI-factor, Zitrotsin, Zitrolid, Zitnob, Sumazid, Sumaklid, Sumamed, Sumametsin, Sumamoks, Sumatrolid солютаб, Tremak-Sanovel, Ekolab.

Pharmacological action

According to the instruction Hemomitsin is an antibiotic of a broad spectrum of activity. Active ingredient of drug belongs to subgroup of azaleads – makrolidny antibiotics which in high concentration have bactericidal effect.

Hemomitsin's use is active concerning intracellular microorganisms (Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis, Borrelia burgdorferi, Mycoplasma pneumoniae), and also concerning Treponema pallidum. Drug is active concerning the following aerobic gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus spp. groups C, F and G, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus viridans; concerning aerobic gram-negative bacteria: Campylobacter jejuni, Bordetella parapertussis, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bordetella pertussis, Helicobacter pylori, Legionella pneumophila, Haemophilus ducreyi; and also concerning anaerobic bacteria: Peptostreptococcus spp., Clostridium perfringens, Bacteroides bivius.

To drug and Hemomitsin's analogs gram-positive bacteria, resistant are steady against erythromycin.

Indications to Hemomitsin's use

According to the instruction Hemomitsin appoint at the following infectious and inflammatory diseases:

• scarlet fever;
• infections of ENT organs and upper parts of respiratory tracts (average otitis, sinusitis, quinsy, tonsillitis);
• infections of an urogenital path (uncomplicated cervicitis or urethritis);
• the infectious diseases of a 12-perstny gut and stomach caused by Helicobacter pylori (as a part of a combination therapy);
• infections of lower parts of respiratory tracts (bronchitis, atypical and bacterial pneumonia);
• Lyme's disease at an initial stage;
• infections of soft tissues and skin (for the second time the infected dermatosis, impetigo, an ugly face).

Contraindications

Drug or Hemomitsin's analogs are contraindicated:

• at a liver and renal failure;
• at hypersensitivity to antibiotics of makrolidny group;
• at children's age before half a year (for suspension of 100 mg);
• at children's age about one year (for suspension of 200 mg);
• at children's age up to twelve years (for tablets and capsules).

Route of administration of Hemomitsin and mode of dosing

At an acute uncomplicated cervicitis or an urethritis Hemomitsin's dosage according to the instruction makes 4 capsules or 2 tablets once.

At the diseases of a 12-perstny gut or a stomach connected with Helicobacter pylori, the dosage of drug makes 2 tablets or 4 capsules a day for three days as a part of a combination therapy.

To children drug is more senior than half a year appoint 100 mg in the form of suspension, to children years – suspensions of 200 mg are more senior. At infections of skin and soft tissues, upper and lower respiratory tracts the children's dosage of Hemomitsin of suspension makes 10 mg on weight kg for three days once a day.

Side effects of Hemomitsin
